Introduction

We come to you for private music lessons! All levels welcomed- we provide personalized instruction, whether you (or your child) are just starting out, working on an audition or competition piece, or just need some extra reinforcement of previously learned skills. Imagine a well qualified instructor coming to your home at a time that is convenient for you and your family. The teacher will provide personalized, one-on-one instruction developed specifically for your child. As your child is participating in their music lesson, you are free! You can prepare dinner, help another kid with their homework, finish up work tasks, catch up with friends and family over the phone - anything else but wait in a studio for the lesson to be finished. At the very least, this saves at least an hour a week of your time - in drive time alone! Our teachers are highly qualified- they have music degrees or equivalent work experience, pass background checks, and each have made it through an audition screening process. Our goal is to promote a positive learning environment that encourages your child to shine. We don’t hire just anyone! We make sure our instructors understand music theory and have performance experience- our teachers are talented musicians that want to share their knowledge. *Please note, both male and female teachers may be available depending on location and the teacher’s availability. Specific gender or age requests are not guaranteed. Lessons are taught in English.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Traveling Music Lessons offers three lesson lengths: 30 minutes, 45 minutes and 60 minutes. A 30 minute lesson is $50, a 45 minute lesson is $65, and a 60 minute lesson is $78. Discounted rate for sibling lessons.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We are so excited to have new members join our music school! One of our dedicated student coordinators will contact you to discuss your preferences- schedule (best day/time for a lesson), start date, genre and experience/levels. Then your coordinator will send available teacher profiles and headshot. At that point, if you decide you want to work with the teacher we send, we will put you on the schedule. Feel free to register online or call today!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Our highly skilled teachers hold music degrees, or have equivalent work experience. Each has passed our audition screening process and a background check. You will be taught by a talented LOCAL professional musician!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I was an educator in the public school system until recently when I fell in love with a new way to teach. One on one, uninterrupted, personalized instruction- provided by highly qualified musicians that allows the student to THRIVE! The process of getting to know the student and what they hope to achieve and matching them with the best teacher available is an exciting process!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We work with all ages and abilities! We offer personalized lessons for all levels of students, from beginner to advanced. No matter what the style of music you’re interested it, whether it’s classical or commercial, we have a teacher to help take your skills to the next level.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
you should definitely think about student/ teacher interaction. To keep motivation high, teachers should be organized, efficient, and offer just the right amount of challenge. Encouraging proper habits and practice routines is also very important when learning new information.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Traveling to you is one thing that separates us from the rest! Many teachers aren't willing/able to provide this type of personalized service to your home. It is truly a luxury! Customers should have a few scheduling options available. Will you need two 30/45 minute lessons a week rather than an hour? Consider your child’s age when booking lessons. With our careful coordination, our instructors become a welcome part of your students weekly routine!
