Music is my passion. I teach students of all ages, but I specialize in lessons for children. I have been teaching for 40 years, with the last 14 offering in home music lessons. This was a huge convenience for my clients, given the traffic in our region. We switched to all Virtual lessons in March of 2020 due to the Pandemic. We now teach students from all over the country. With over 42 years of live performance experience, and decades of experience as a session vocalist and guitarist, I can mentor my students in a way that few other instructors can offer. Many of my students study with me for years. What makes my lessons so special? 1. All my students feel like rock stars! Because I make sure each lesson is both fun and enriching. 2. Hi! I'm a professional concert violinist with over 22 years of international performance and teaching experience. My teaching approach blends the time-tested methods of the European Masters with my own proven techniques and accelerated learning strategies. This allows students to progress quickly and confidently, whether they’re beginners or advanced players. Many of my students have won competitions and earned scholarships to top conservatories like Oberlin, Manhattan School of Music, and Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts. I welcome students of all ages and levels, offering both in-person lessons at my Burtonsville, MD studio and virtual lessons for those farther away. Lessons are tailored to your goals and emphasize both technical mastery and expressive artistry. While I specialize in classical training, I also teach a range of genres including jazz, folk, tango, chamber and orchestral repertoire -providing you with a well-rounded and inspiring musical education. My award-winning techniques are tested and utilized on the stage from acapella to live bands, and even alongside symphonies. My method is iron clad, not theoretical or purely academic being tested through seasons of relentless shows, sessions, and teaching schedules. It's one thing to know technique, it's another to have the experience to use it extensively on a professional level. Not only do I help my students grow as vocalists, I also help them get into the studio! My students have recorded numerous songs with engineers from cover tunes to entire original albums released on record labels.
