Teaching all ages voice and piano for years, am also a performer with 2 groups, have a BA in Performance. Teach beginners to professionals, all styles, from Gospel, R&B, Music Theater, Jazz, Pop, to Classical Art Song, and Opera. Teach in many languages, if that's your thing, have a very large music library here in studio. I can get you there! And prepare you for any special performance, audition, and goal. ATTENTION: - I'M OFFERING A SPECIAL: IN PERSON OR ONLINE, 4 1/2 HOUR LESSONS FOR 1/2 PRICE $20 EACH. WHAT WOULD NORMALLY BE $180 IS NOW $80. In person lessons must be fully vaccinated. My regular rate is $45 1/2-hour, $80 hour. There's never a contract. People want to study singing for so many reasons. You've sung all your life and want to sing better. You'd like to be able to audition for a better chorus or a part. You were told you were tone-deaf when you were 5, and haven't dared make a sound since, or if you have, people have laughed at you. Those are all good reasons. My job is to take you wherever you are, whatever you hope to achieve, and help you sing better whatever that is. The lessons themselves can be done online, or in person within New Jersey only. New Yorkers usually don't want to come to NJ, but you could take lessons online. If you're apprehensive doing lessons online, please read my reviews. Quite a few of them are from online students. There's never a contract. You can try one lesson and see what you think. Your health is the most important thing to address in lessons. People come to me with chronic sore throats from strain, limited ranges, breaks. We fix these things, and you sound great and have fun. I don't let 12-year-olds sound like they're 30. I care, and I'm good. The human voice is the most wonderful toy I can imagine. As a teacher, I get to play in everyone's toy box. It's all fun. I love helping someone who thinks they can't sing on pitch sing on pitch. I love working with people who've sung all their lives and just hope people won't laugh at them. I show members of the chorus that they're soloists, and no one's laughing. I love working with beautiful, strong, healthy voices that just need a little help to fly. I love it all.

Actually, I prefer students in South Jersey. My preferred travel radius is about 15-25 miles from Haddonfield, NJ. Those students can have lessons at their home during my available time frame. But keep in mind that I can't teach on weekends and holidays. Now, a little about me. I listen to what the student wants to learn about, then I tailor my lessons for them to achieve their goals. Sometimes my lessons are extremely elementary. That's okay because I can always accelerate them to the speed that the student wants. The student has to have some prerequisites like knowing general math (fractions), concepts, interest in the subject, and some creativity in musical subjects. Then I can really help them to excel in those arenas. I've always liked the idea to help someone else out when they needed it. My favorite subject is keyboard, I actually have a mini keyboard, but other subjects are interesting as well. I actually played lead guitar in the 70s, and I have a Squier guitar, and I enhanced that skill by taking extra lessons either by pro teachers or through the Internet like YouTube, MusicNotes, and etc. Through sheet-music analysis, I train the student to understand musical concepts and excel in them. I gain great satisfaction from this endeavor.

I have a passion for singing and performing, and I absolutely love sharing that enthusiasm with people of all ages! I get excited to pick out specific repertoire perfect for individual students and to work with them in depth in order to beautifully sing that piece of music. Passionate about expression, diction, and technique I aim to inspire others to reach their highest potential and musical goals. Getting to watch my students progress over time and seeing all of their wonderful accomplishments is the best part about being a teacher for me!
