My name is Coach TK and I am so glad that you found my profile here on Thumbtack! I recently returned to the platform after a year long hiatus and I am excited for the chance to work with you. I am a classically trained, powerhouse recording artist, worship leader, and background singer with over 20 years of experience. I understand the pitfalls that singers often encounter when striving to perfect their voice. Through Thumbtack I have worked with many talented singers who simply didn't have healthy techniques to really sing and let their voice shine. As a singer those limitations can feel stifling. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Tuition payments are accepted bi-weekly or monthly. Tuition must be paid before the lesson begins. 45-Minute Session - $55 60-Minnute Session - $65

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I schedule a consultation via phone or Zoom. This helps to break the ice, assess skill level, and work with the student to create a lesson plan.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a professionally trained vocalist through instructors from the London School of Music.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Since 2004 I've worked as lead singer in various groups, choir director, and recording artist. I trained professionally beginning in 2012 and started offering vocal lessons in 2016.

What types of customers have you worked with?

My students vary in level from beginner to advanced. I work with children as young as 9 on a case by case basis. My students learn to sing across multiple genres of music.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I am currently working with a local gospel artist who is preparing for her first studio recording project. We've been working together for the past three months and her progress has been amazing!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always look to hire an instructor who can help you find your own singing voice and is willing to personalize your lessons based on your unique voice. Your lessons should be structured and you there should be some tangible way to measure your progress. Additionally, an instructor who is familiar with your style of singing is sure to bring our the best qualities in your voice.
