Introduction

Jacob has been playing guitar since May 2004 and has been teaching since November 2010. He holds a Jazz Composition degree from the University of Utah. Jacob strongly believes in having students learn things that they enjoy while also making sure they have a great understanding of music and guitar technique. When you see a student succeed and grow it can be a very fulfilling experience, this is a skill that they can keep with them for the rest of their lives. It's also nice getting to know not only the students but the student's families, I've met a lot of cool people through teaching guitar.

Look for a teacher with experience and passion and one that will challenge you, it's very easy to find a teacher who will hang out with you rather than actually "teach" you new things.
