Introduction

Private YOGA FOR MEN: Reduce Tension, Alleviate Pain, and Feel Great! Hi, I’m Margy, founder of Vasanta Yoga. If you’re a man who's new to yoga or has a little experience, and know that you "should" be doing it because it will improve your health, you’ve found your private yoga instructor! Over the past six years, I’ve worked almost exclusively one-on-one with men who are beginners, out of practice, or dealing with an injury, who don't feel comfortable taking studio classes. Dealing with chronic pain or stiffness, or even a slight level of discomfort is not something that you must live with--you are meant to move with ease and do the things you love to do, comfortably. I understand that group classes often feel intimidating, impersonal, and leave beginners lost (or injured), but yoga will help you move better in the sports and activities that you enjoy, and feel great during your day-to-day, so you should have access to it. My approach is personal, convenient, and tailored to your body and goals. With 15+ years of practicing and six years of teaching experience, I can help you: -Increase flexibility and loosen stiff muscles -Improve mobility and balance -Alleviate pain -Get stronger -Reduce stress -Find a moment of calm in your busy life -Feel great in your body I promise that with just a few sessions, you'll already notice a difference! *I offer a complimentary intro session to make sure we're a good fit⤵ So if you’re ready to take a step toward moving and feeling better, send me a message. The time is now!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Pricing varies depending on class packages (single class, 5 class pack, 10 class pack, etc.).

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
First, we connect so I can learn about what you're looking for. Second, we do a free intro session! You'll tell me about your unique needs and health and wellness goals. Also, let me know about any injuries or specific areas in the physical or energetic body you'd like to focus on. And of course, I answer any questions you may have. Then we set up a time to meet for your free, introductory class where we make sure we're a good fit!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
•200 hour teacher training - Prana Yoga Center, La Jolla, California •Mentorships under Lauren Padula and Emily Sussell •Reiki level 2 certification - Daniella Hills, Calgary, Canada •100+ hours of workshops: philosophy, mythology & archetypes, meditation, breathwork, subtle body and the chakras •Yoga conferences/festivals: Ashtanga Yoga Confluence, San Diego; Shakti Festival, Joshua Tree •BS in Environmental Studies - The George Washington University, Washington, DC.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Yoga is one of my greatest passions and has truly changed my life. Plus, after practicing yoga for 10+ years, teaching was a natural progression!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with teens to adults in their 80s! Beginners to advanced students. Individuals with injuries, limited mobility and flexibility. After all, yoga is for every body!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
This isn't exactly a project... but I cohosted a yoga/wellness retreat in Oaxaca, Mexico this past fall and it was incredible!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
There are a lot of excellent yoga teachers out there. Look over professionals' profiles, see that what they're offering fits your needs, and take into account what resonates with you. If you see a profile that really strikes you, even if maybe they don't have the most reviews yet, go with it! And ask questions--about their style, what they offer, specialties, etc. Make sure they'll give you the support you need to make the changes you desire.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
•What are your goals? Short and long term. •What style of practice/approach are you looking for? Higher intensity and strength building? Slower, more restorative, maybe injury recovery? •How often would you like to meet with the pro? *Remember: progress and change come through consistent action, ultimately altering the habits that no longer serve us
