Hello, my name is Kimya! I am a 500-hour trained, British Yoga Instructor with experience teaching private and group yoga classes in various settings. I left my life as a Lawyer back in London in 2017 to pursue my dream of teaching yoga - a practice that was life changing for me - mentally, physically and emotionally. Yoga goes far beyond a physical practice, hence my approach to teaching is holistic. My personal experience with panic attacks, trauma and anxiety allow me to relate to my students’ vulnerabilities and tailor my classes to every need. I incorporate Meditation & Sound Healing into each class for a full, integrated experience. I am also certified in Yin Yoga and Reiki (energy healing). What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

$100 is my base rate per session, additional charge for travel to client.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I usually have a brief telephone consultation or zoom meeting with you to discuss your previous experience with yoga, your requirements and goals, and we will also complete an intake form to establish any injuries or health conditions that I should be aware of.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Meeting with a victim of domestic abuse whilst training to be a lawyer, I realised I wanted to help the client heal emotionally from the abuse. The paperwork side of things didn’t appeal to me as much..

What types of customers have you worked with?

All types, including the elderly, those who suffer from mental health issues such as addiction, depression and anxiety, individuals with physical ailments.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Seek to find a teacher with whom you can connect and feel comfortable with. It can take time to build a connection. Initially see if their style and approach of teaching resonates with you and if it does, ask for a consultation to discuss your goals and expectations.
