Introduction

I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years and teaching yoga, meditation and fitness for over 5 years. I am passionate about sharing the many benefits of yoga, working out and/or meditation with people. I do personal training as well. My goal is to customize the yoga and workout experience for each individual. My aim is to empower each client I work with and to help them reach their goals and feel more confident and present in life. Both exercise and yoga help with all of these as well as being more aware of and in tune with your body and mind.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I offer a discounted price for first time clients that commit to at least 2 sessions. I also offer a discounted rate when multiple classes are purchased at the same time, and pre paid. For example instead of 120 per session it would be 550 for 5 sessions.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Any new customer will receive an intake form before I see them, a short questionaire to get to know them better. I’ll usually do a quick call as well to see if we are a good fit and to allow new customers to ask questions they might have.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

200 hr registered yoga teacher , currently getting 300hr ryt, 4 1/2 years of experience teaching yoga, fitness and meditation

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started out playing sports as a young child. I always enjoyed the physical movement and how it made me feel. I got into workout classes in my early 20s and loved it for the physical and social aspects. I was getting sore often and that let me to exploring yoga classes. I fell in love with yoga and discovered the meditation and spiritual side of it too. It helped tremendously in lowering my anxiety and helping me feel more present and empowered. It also helped alleviate soreness and tension.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I’ve worked with a huge variety of clients both men and women. I’ve worked with children ages 4-9, teens 13-18, young adults, and 30s-50s, as well as the older population ages 60s-80s. I’ve worked with people with injuries, limited mobility, pregnant women, athletes, and people wanting to return to working out or yoga, and people trying it for the 1st time. I’ve also worked with clients in recovery and have found they benefit greatly from these modalities.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

A recent project I’m excited about is teaching a weekly breathwork and yoga class at a recovery center. It’s an out patient recovery center for people dealing with substance abuse, anxiety and other disorders. I absolutely love being able to help the amazing clients there. It’s so special to have a part in their recovery and to see them feeling better. I love seeing how yoga, breathwork, meditation and movement has profound impacts on their recovery. Being able to make a difference in someone’s life or have a positive impact is so heart warming.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would first decide what your specific goals are. Then I’d talk to a few to start. If you don’t feel comfortable or get a good vibe, keep looking. It’s all about feeling comfortable and confident about who you chose to work with. I’d ask questions and read reviews as well.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What are my goals? Why do I want to start yoga/working out/meditation? What are my biggest concerns/fears? What motivates me? Am I more intrinsically or externally motivated? What’s held me back in the past?
