Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My standard rate is $75 per student per hour, with volume discounts provided for groups of 3 or more. I offer discounted class packs: a 5 class pack is discounted by 5% ($356 total) and a 10 class pack is discounted by 10% ($675 total). Fees for mileage may apply for long commutes.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
A typical first session for a 1:1 client involves a consultation to discuss your yoga and mindfulness needs and goals, as well as some movement. These sessions can span 60-90 minutes depending on your preference. Small group classes can be different in that we could dive right into a 60 minute class once you specify your preferred yoga style and focus for the class.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I'm an 200-hour registered yoga instructor with a 25-hour continuing education Yin certificate. I carry my own insurance and am an active member of Yoga Alliance.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I've been an avid yoga practitioner since 2006. I'm inspired by yogic philosophies and the ways the physical practice, breathwork and meditation help us live our most authentic, embodied experiences. My intention through teaching is to help you learn how to turn inward, quiet the mind, connect body and breath, and find peace, joy and love in yourself and in the present moment.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've taught all ages and levels of yogis in large and small group settings.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure you call, Zoom, or FaceTime with your prospective providers before committing, to ensure you like their energy and are aligned on expectations.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Be sure to be clear on your preferences related to things like: location, duration, frequency, style of yoga (or if you'd like to ask for recommendations), need for mats + props, inclusion of music, incense, specific lighting, and/or if you're looking for a purely physical experience, spiritual experience, or combo of both.
