Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
$75.00 for 60 minutes in person $85.00 for 60 minutes in person if the drive to you is over 10 miles. $55.00 for 60 minutes on zoom.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I will send you a virtual form to collect information to save time during our session. We will have a brief discussion to establish specific goals and be sure we are both in the same page. If dealing with physical pain I will do a brief postural assessment and explain it to you in detail. We then proceed to our first practices and as we end we discuss the takeaways from the session. Finally I will set you up with a strategy so you can follow up on your own and practice what you learned.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a background in massage therapy and I have studied pain relief techniques like myofascial release, neuro-somatic therapy, posturology, anatomy trains training for bodywork and movement therapy. I earned the E-RYT 500 yoga teacher status in 2016 after 4 years of intense training and study. I taught yoga for 5 years at a major studio where I taught a variety of yoga styles including restorative yoga, classic fundamentals, yoga nidra and meditation but the majority of m y work there was doing private sessions. I also taught on specialty workshops on a regular basis. I have incorporated the knowledge I gained through massage and yoga in a very unique and effective methodology which I use in all my teachings.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I was depressed and I had back and shoulder pain and a digestive condition called leaky gut syndrome. Then my son who was 4 back then got sick and I decided to take action and step into the alternative medicine world to try to figure it all out. I started out with massage therapy and right away I decided to specialize in pain relief. I devoted myself to the study of the musculoskeletal system and took specialty courses in posturology, neuro-somatic therapy, the fascial system and myofascial release, and more. I worked with chiropractors and other pain relief specialists. With my massage career experience and my focus on studying the body I was able to get relief from my back and shoulder pain, but it seemed to be temporary and as I was trying to figure it all out I encountered yoga. That was a major game changer. Yoga helped me understand the mind-body connection and it made me realize that the reason my healing was only temporary was because I had only been working with one dimension of the human being (the body) and we are multidimensional beings. I also needed to add corrective movement to reeducate my body out of the compensatory patterns that create and perpetuate pain and dysfunction. It wasn't until I addressed all of it (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual) that I finally moved forward into a state of being I had no idea I could achieve. Now I live a pain free life, I have energy and vitality, I feel strong and capable to deal with adversity and I know how to keep my body from going back to being in pain. Life still challenges me like it does to everyone else, but I am much better equipped to navigate it and find my way back to balance. I absolutely love teaching yoga because I know its tremendous potential. No matter who you are, where you have been, how old or sick, yoga is for everyone!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with people with little mobility and flexibility, athletes, people with back, hip, knees, neck and shoulders issues, people with fibromyalgia, hip replacements, injury recovery, people who deal with excessive stress and/or anxiety, etc.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I am very excited about my online yoga classes. I started them after COVID-19 hit and took away all my sources of income. This project allows me to better serve my clients because the classes are a support system to follow up on the work we do privately so clients can practice what they learn and solidify the concepts and ideas specific to the type of yoga I teach, so gradually as they learn them they depend less on the teacher and more on the knowledge the acquire through consistent practice.
