Introduction

Hey there! My name is Krista Quinn! I am a Yoga Therapist and Movement Coach with a decade of experience in the field, and I work with women and allies experiencing chronic back, sacroiliac, and hip pain, who want to alleviate pain and start yoga and strength training. If your body is always tight and achey. Movements you used to be able to do without much thought, like balancing on one leg or picking up heavy things feel harder, or are more painful. If you are more easily overwhelmed by daily life stress, experience anxiety, shallow breathing, or difficulty relaxing in general, or as a result of chronic pain... You are in the right place and I'd love to see how I can help. I firmly believe that once you build a solid movement and mindfulness foundation, then the sky is the limit for what you are capable of doing, the innate intelligence of your body is already there, and it's just a matter of helping you reveal it's genius. Excited to meet you!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I have various investment points available! Approximate virtual pricing below. The cost of in person sessions varies based on travel time and studio fees, and there is limited availability. 1. Virtual Group Membership: 68$ per month 2. Virtual Group 10 pass: 189$ 3. Virtual 1-1 Coaching 60 minute Session: 100-132$ (there are discounts available!)

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
1. I start with a free breakthrough call, take a detailed movement/injury history, and get a feeling for your movement goals! 2. Next, we set up a time to meet and I run a series of assessments including gait, sit to stand test, strength/mobility/balance assessments. *These assessments are tailored to the virtual experience and are just as effective, as in person assessments. 3. Based on what we find we start with foundational strength and mobility drills during this session, and then I design a program utilizing various drills/exercises/tools to support you in moving with less pain, and more confidence. 4. The process of working 1-1 can take anywhere from 3 months-1 year, during this time you have access to my group sessions as they become appropriate for your level. It is my hope that once we get you out of pain and equipped with a solid movement foundation, that you can then join my more advanced classes and continue to develop your new movement skills!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I spent a near decade in my 20’s battling chronic back, SI and referred hip pain after a laminectomy at L4/L5. I worked with physical therapists, healers, chiros, yoga mentors, massage therapists, you name it, I tried it. I also pursued certifications in yoga therapy and personal training. While all of this helped, the game changer was deepening my understanding of pain science and using brain based exercise and mindfulness to change the way I was experiencing pain. I’ve now been reliably pain free for 8 years, do more with my body in my 40’s than I did in my 20’s, and have supported hundreds of women and allies with the tools to move with less pain and more freedom.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I mainly work with three types of clients. 1) Women and allies who have chronic low back, sacroiliac, or hip pain, have tried conservative medical treatments, and want to supplement with holistic approaches, or completely try a different way. 2) Complete beginners to movement who would like to learn yoga or start a strength training practice, but would like a coach who is mindful of past injuries and mobility limitations. 3) Women and allies who are interested in mindfulness practices and would like to incorporate mediation into their daily lives.
