Introduction

I am a trauma sensitive, and Energy Medicine trained yoga instructor. I am also a certified health coach who infuses mindfulness practices into my practice. I believe that individuals can manage their health and well-being more effectively when they engage the mind and body connection. When working with clients, I like to utilize all of my skills synergistically to help people discover ways to access the tools they have within themselves to heal. I specialize in working with individuals who are suffering from anxiety and stress, and those who have physical limitations and concerns. My approach to wellness is multi-faceted. Together we will look at many different factors that may contribute to anxiety, dis-ease, and stress. Then we will discuss and practice strategies that may increase your overall sense of well being, such as mindfulness, yogic practices, physical activity, and food choices. My experience and training affords me the opportunity to offer clients yoga and breathing techniques within our coaching sessions, or separately to groups. The trauma sensitive yoga classes that I teach are meant to resonate with everyday people. They mainly focus on gentle poses and breath work. This practice can help people with anxiety, depression, and those whose lives have been impacted by trauma. I am also certified in chair yoga. This gentle yoga is practiced in a chair, or using a chair as a prop to help students move through the poses. This is beneficial for people who are new to yoga, concerned about balance issues, or confined to a wheelchair. I love coaching people to find ways to make impactful choices for improving their overall health and seeing them get excited about the small shifts that may encourage them to continue the great work that they have started. I guide people to make baby steps and be patient with themselves in the process. NOTE: Due to increased sensitivity about the spread of COVID-19 I am available to offer coaching sessions virtually. I will still give the same high-quality content but just via a phone or other type of smart device. I am vaccinated as well if you prefer to meet in person. Also, if you are experiencing financial hardships due to loss of income during this time please talk to me about my sliding fee schedule. **I also offer a 10% discount when clients purchase a 4 or 6 session package.**

Individual sessions are $75 per hour. A 10% discount is available to clients who purchase a package of 6 or more classes. My prices are varied based on the number of participants in group classes.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Initially, prospective clients will have the option to have a 30 minute free phone consultation where we talk about their goals and any past efforts.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a certified health coach, Yoga Calm Instructor, Strong Spirits Chair Yoga Instructor, and Mindfulness Instructor for Children.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have been passionate about health and the well being of others for over 15 years. I was raised by a mother who had chronic health conditions and I saw how debilitating it was at times and how it impacted her joy and zest for life. After she died I began the process of educating myself about health and well being research and resources. Eventually, I made the decision to go back to school to become a health coach and yoga and mindfulness instructor.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I work primarily with women suffering from anxiety who are open to make long-lasting change, who are also acutely aware of what it may take to do this. They are generally seeking someone to walk by their side, gently guiding them as they make these changes. They also understand that change is not immediate and are willing to exercise patience in the process to make long-lasting change.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What are your short term goals? What are your long term goals? What is your timeline for achieving these goals? Do you feel like you have the patience that it takes to make overall long lasting change? Are you ready to make your life the best it can be, while making change without judgment?
