What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After the initial contact I open a file and complete a customer intake form. The draft is provided to the customer for review once payment is received. Customer reviews the draft. Final document is saved and shared with customer.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Bachelors Degree and relevant work experience.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Moving to the USA from Canada; having to leave my fave regulatory/quasi-judicial career to start a new journey to establish my 'American dream'. My background experience (education, employment and volunteer) and personal interests and values led me to this type of work.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Establishing an estate plan with a Navajo senior/elder. The typical turnaround time took longer than 7 days because I enjoyed her company and getting to know her children. The project is ongoing because her family members hired me to assist them as well. The personal touch in this line of business is richly rewarding. I love the teachings and memories and am forever grateful for all of my customers.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

a) Ask questions. b) If it doesn't feel right - don't hire them. c) If the cost is not affordable to you then get additional quotes from others as there are many providers in this area of work.
