We know hiring an attorney can be expensive. At Alfano Law Firm we often offer payment plans to our customers in need. We offer a free 30 minute consultations to walk through your needs, the scope of your goals and your budget.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Typically the first step is a short phone call to get enough information to determine whether we can help and to schedule a 30 minute free consultation. After that, we go from there on beginning your case.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Megan Alfano graduated with honors from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a B.A. in Criminology and University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Megan began practicing family law while in law school at UMKC. Megan began her career in Kansas City practicing family and probate law. She later worked at a non-profit organization assisting low-income families with orders of protection, custody and divorce matters, adoptions, probate and guardianships. Megan is a Missouri Supreme Court approved Mediator and a Guardian Ad Litem that advocates for the best interests of children. She is also a volunteer attorney for CASA working with children in child abuse and neglect cases. Megan also serves as a Missouri State Special Public Defender defending the rights of accused individuals.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with clients on several issues in the family, probate, and criminal law field. The majority of my work is probate, estate planning and uncontested family law such as adoption, divorce and child custody. We drafts wills, trusts, powers of attorney. We also handle decedent estates/probate, guardianship, conservatorship, deeds and more.
