What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

For Interior design consultation I charge $80.00 an hour. Further pricing details are found on my brochure.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I set an appointment to do a consultation with them to evaluate their needs once I am in the home. Once we agree on the scope of the Design project, then I move forward to make recommendations based on your lifestyle, budget, timeframe and also your design goals.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I attended Parsons school of Design in NY, NY in the fall of 1997. Where I was pursuing bachelor's degree in Interior Design. However in 2009 I received my Diploma in Interior design from The Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. As of last year was currently enrolled at Southern Technical College in Bonita Springs, Florida to complete my Associates degree in Interior design. I have placed this on hold in order to focus on earning an income and building my business. I must say that my business is growing as my customer base increases. I am also an active member of ASID. (American Society of Interior Designers) member ID # 1942100).

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I advertised my business by doing a Farmers market and getting referrals also.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked mostly with customers that I have sold my custom made cushions and paintings to at the Farmers Market.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Check their background and interview them see if they understand your designs needs and ideas that you are wanting to accomplish.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Each customer needs to know what is their budget and what there style is; or if their not sure go through a design magazine to conjure up ideas to discuss with your Designer.
