We believe in transparent pricing. Our fees are clearly outlined in our management agreement, with no hidden charges. Property owners are provided upfront, detailed information on our pricing structure, service fees, and any additional costs that may arise.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Our client-focused approach ensures personalized attention and tailored solutions. We begin with a consultation to understand your goals, evaluate your property or portfolio, and develop a customized management plan. Our onboarding process is seamless, professional, and built around your unique needs as a property owner.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

With over 75 years of combined experience, our team includes highly experienced professionals with deep knowledge of the local real estate market and property management best practices. This wealth of experience leads to faster problem-solving, better decision-making, and improved outcomes for our clients.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Grant & Main was founded out of a passion for creating stability and value in residential real estate. Our founders were investors themselves, frustrated by inconsistent management companies and poor service. We started this company to raise the standard of property management—by providing reliable, responsive, and results-driven solutions for owners just like us.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We’ve worked with a wide range of residential real estate investors, from first-time landlords with a single-family home to institutional investors managing portfolios of hundreds of units. We specialize in both single-family and multi-family properties, as well as HOAs.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

In May 2020, a developer partnered with Grant & Main to build a high-end modular home in the heart of Detroit. From vacant lot to completion, the project took under 12 months and featured custom finishes, smart home technology, and sustainable design. The home was sold in March 2021, representing a successful return on investment and a significant contribution to urban revitalization in Detroit. It remains one of our favorite examples of vision, quality, and impact.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Choose a property management partner who treats your investment like their own. Ask about transparency in pricing, response times, in-house capabilities, and how they handle tenant issues. A great management company is proactive, not reactive—delivering consistent communication, smart planning, and long-term value.

What are my goals for this property (income, long-term value, minimal involvement)? Do I want full-service management or support in specific areas? How do I want communication and reporting handled? What is my preferred level of involvement in day-to-day decisions? What kind of tenants do I want to attract—and how will they be screened and managed?
