Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I’ve always told my clients that the bill can always change unfortunately only because we don’t know how much mold there is until we remove the affected material (drywall, cabinet, etc). Full transparency about this is my priority as well.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Typically, I want to see the issue in person to get a better scope of the work. I will be asking questions about the past issues, present, & more. Once that’s done, I will get a bid together, & explain the process whether it’s in person or in the bid itself.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am certified by MICRO which has IICRC standards. Also certified in IICRC. Certified in: - CMRC (Certified Mold Remediation Contractor) - CMI (Certified Mold Inspector) - CHST (Certified Health & Safety Technician) - WRT (Water Restoration Training) I also have 9 years of experience in damage restoration including remodeling & reconstruction.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
When I was 19 years old (9 years ago), I had started in damage restoration, & eventually I worked my way up to project manager. After awhile, I decided to do my own thing. Now, it’s been almost 4 years since I have, & I enjoy providing good & honest service to my clients.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked in residential & commercial buildings. I have also worked with homeowners, management companies, & tenants.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A recent project, I’ve done for a couple with their baby. I was happy to make sure I could remove their mold-affected cabinet & drywall in their kitchen/living area in a safe, effective way. I strive to make sure the homeowners do not feel any effect of the mold especially during demolition. Your health is my priority.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
In Mold Remediation & Mitigation, please make sure there’s actual mold whether it’s by testing or visual inspection. There are a lot of scammers who will go out of their way to make more money on you. Please be careful & ask questions.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
For mold: PROOF. That’s the biggest issue nowadays when the remediator can’t provide any proof.
