What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Project overview; Agreement; Scheduling; Open and completion of the project.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

General B and C39 roofing license. All workers carry a pocket license. Workers compensation and liability insurance at all times.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

We started as general-B contractors and developed a small division that specifically specializes in roofing installtion.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We do both residential and commercial projects. Roofing projects that are covered by insurance. Roofing projects for the city and government.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Our most recent project was a 3,200 sq/ft shingle roof installation. We had a crew of 8 people do the work in order to minimize the amount of time to complete the work. We employ a larger amount of people for faster completion when the project is in a quiet neighborhood or too close to other residents. We used Owen Corning Duration line as the material of shingles and Titanium UDL30 for underlayemt, both being top of the line products providing an extended 50 year warranty on the roof.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Whoever you hire, make sure the entire process is properly explained. Roofing consists of many variants. Therefore cheaper contractors tend to disregard certain elements such as the type of shingles or underlayment quality or avoid indicating the necessity replacing wood sheathing on your roof. What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Make sure to present any roof damage such as leaks, termite and dry rot. Indicate when was the roof last replaced (to the best of your knowledge) Make sure to understand what material will be installed as your underlayment (e.g. felt paper, rubberized asphalt, or synthetic paper) and as your type of roof and brand. Ask about warranty and make sure to understand that the price on the estimate doesn't contain any hidden fees.
