Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our pricing is transparent and competitive. We charge a $100 consultation or estimate fee, which may be waived if we move forward with the project. We work within your budget and always aim to provide high-quality results with no hidden costs. Referral commissions available.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We begin with a consultation or estimate appointment for $100, which can be credited toward your project if we sign a contract. During this meeting, we review your vision, take measurements, and discuss the scope. From there, we provide a detailed proposal, coordinate permits if needed, and guide you through every step of the project.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Our team has years of hands-on experience and is led by a licensed contractor in California. We stay current on building codes, safety standards, and design trends to ensure your project is completed right the first time.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Guevara’s Builders Inc. was founded from a passion for building and improving homes. What started as small remodeling jobs for family and friends grew into a business driven by quality craftsmanship and strong client relationships.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We’ve worked with homeowners, real estate investors and property managers. Whether it's a small renovation or a full home remodel, we treat every customer with care and respect.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of our recent projects involved transforming a walk-in closet into a complete bathroom almost like an addition, since the space had no existing plumbing, electrical, or ventilation. We installed all necessary utilities from scratch, framed the layout, and added custom finishes to create a fully functional, modern bathroom. In the same home, we also did a full remodel of the existing bathroom. It wasn’t just a bathtub swap we removed everything and reconfigured the layout, replacing the tub with a fiberglass shower base, updating the plumbing, installing new tile, fixtures, lighting, and finishes throughout. The entire project cost around $25,000 and was completed in approximately 4 weeks. The homeowner was thrilled with the transformation and the added value to their home. (Costs for similar projects may vary depending on the existing conditions, layout complexity, and the type of materials and finishes selected.)

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Always make sure the contractor you’re considering is licensed, insured, and bonded you can verify their license is active with the California State License Board. This protects you and ensures they meet legal and professional standards. A good contractor should not only be skilled and stay on budget they should also make you feel heard. They should take the time to understand your needs, answer your questions honestly, and never pressure you just to make a sale. You want someone who treats your home with the same care and respect they’d give their own. Also, take the time to look at their past work, reviews, and references. It’s not just about the price it’s about the quality, the communication, and the experience you’ll have throughout the project.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
It’s helpful to know your budget, ideal timeline, and any inspiration photos or must-haves. Think about how the space will be used and what your long-term goals are. The clearer your vision, the smoother the project!
