What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
15% off Custom cabinets until June 10, 2025
My pricing is transparent, flexible, and tailored to your project size and scope. I offer different options depending on your needs:
Flat Fees for specific design packages (great for smaller spaces or single-room makeovers)
Hourly Rates for consultations, concept development, or ongoing design support
Project-Based Pricing for full-service design or remodels, including sourcing, contractor coordination, and project management
I’m also happy to work within realistic budgets and help you prioritize where to invest for the biggest impact. There are no hidden fees—everything is clearly outlined before we begin.
Most clients are surprised at how affordable good design can be, especially when it helps avoid costly mistakes or delays down the line.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Initial Consultation (Free or Paid)
We start with a consultation—either virtual or in-person—to discuss your goals, style preferences, budget, and timeline. This is your chance to ask questions and for us to understand your needs in detail.
2. Design Proposal & Estimate
After the consultation, we provide a customized design proposal that outlines the scope of work, design direction, estimated costs, and project phases. For contractor services, we may also include timelines for permits and construction.
3. Design Phase
We create mood boards, space plans, and 3D renderings (if needed), including finishes, color palettes, and furnishings. You'll have time to review, give feedback, and approve the final design before moving forward.
4. Sourcing & Purchasing
Once the design is approved, we source materials, furniture, and fixtures. We manage orders, deliveries, and logistics to keep everything on schedule and on budget.
5. Construction & Implementation
If your project includes construction, we coordinate with licensed contractors and vendors. We handle site visits, project management, and quality control to ensure everything is built and installed to specification.
6. Final Reveal & Walkthrough
We do a final walkthrough to ensure everything is perfect and to address any last-minute touch-ups. Your satisfaction is our top priority.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m a Certified Interior Designer, Certified Color Consultant, and Advanced Feng Shui Professional with nearly 20 years of experience in Design and Remodeling. My background allows me to create spaces that are not only visually beautiful but also harmoniously aligned with energy flow, functionality, and your personal lifestyle.
I collaborate with a trusted team of licensed and insured contractors, all with 10+ years of experience serving the Southwest Florida area. This ensures that every project—from concept to completion—is handled with the highest level of professionalism, safety, and craftsmanship.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began my journey in 2006 working for a General Contractor/Builder in Hinsdale, IL, while I was also a licensed Realtor. Being deeply involved in home sales and construction sparked my love for design. I took a leap and launched my first fully staged home using a "Pottery Barn" concept—staged by the actual store, which was virtually unheard of at the time.
The success of that project fueled my passion for transforming spaces, and I soon pursued formal education in Interior Design, Color Consulting, and Feng Shui. What started as a real estate career grew into a full-fledged design profession, and I’ve been doing what I love ever since—helping clients create beautiful, functional, and balanced homes.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with a wide range of clients who are looking to elevate their spaces with thoughtful design, whether it’s a primary residence, vacation home, investment property, or a full renovation. My ideal clients value functionality, beauty, and balance—and are open to creative ideas that reflect their lifestyle and goals.
Many of my customers are:
Homeowners looking to remodel or redesign key spaces like kitchens, bathrooms, or entire homes.
Real estate investors or agents needing staging or design to maximize property value.
Busy professionals or retirees relocating to or upgrading homes in Southwest Florida.
Clients interested in Feng Shui, color psychology, or energy-aligned spaces for wellness and harmony.
Whether it’s a single-room refresh or a full-scale renovation, I bring a collaborative approach that makes the process smooth, inspiring, and deeply personalized.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of my most recent and proudest projects was a kitchen remodel on a budget. The homeowner had never worked with a designer before and assumed it would be out of reach financially. She was genuinely surprised—and thrilled—to find that not only was professional design affordable, but that it completely transformed her space without breaking the bank.
What made this project special was her reaction: she felt seen, empowered, and excited about her home again. Helping clients realize that great design is for everyone—not just luxury budgets—is what drives my passion for this work. 3 weeks start to finish. 1 day for removal and install cabinets. 10 days for countertops.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring a design or contractor professional in Southwest Florida, it’s important to look beyond just style and price. Here's my top advice:
Verify Credentials: Make sure your designer is certified and that any contractors they work with are licensed and insured—especially in Florida where permitting and code compliance are crucial.
Look for Local Experience: Choose someone who understands the unique design needs and climate of Southwest Florida. Materials, layouts, and even color choices perform differently here than in other regions.
Check Their Process: Ask about their workflow from consultation to completion. A professional should offer transparency, clear timelines, and manage both design and implementation smoothly.
Communication is Key: Make sure they listen to your goals, offer creative solutions, and keep you updated throughout the project. You should feel like a partner, not just a client.
Ask for Portfolio & References: A reliable pro will have examples of past work and happy clients willing to speak to their experience.
Ultimately, trust your instincts—work with someone whose style, professionalism, and energy align with your vision and values.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Before speaking with a design or renovation professional, it's helpful to consider the following:
What are your goals for the space?
Are you looking to refresh the look, improve functionality, increase resale value, or all of the above?
What is your realistic budget?
Knowing your ideal and maximum spend helps us guide you toward smart choices and prioritize what's most important.
How do you want the space to feel?
Think beyond style terms—do you want it to feel calm, energizing, elegant, cozy, or modern?
Do you have inspiration?
Pinterest boards, magazine clippings, or even favorite colors can help communicate your vision more clearly.
How involved do you want to be?
Some clients prefer a hands-on process, while others want a more turnkey solution. Both are okay—we just need to know.
What’s your timeline?
Be honest about deadlines, whether it’s a move-in date, holiday, or just general expectations.
Having clarity on these topics can make your consultation smoother and ensure we create a design that truly reflects your needs and lifestyle.
