Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing is per project and there EDJ Group offers discounts for certain careers of its customers, for example any Current or Prior Military, Law enforcement, and even some for active nurses and Doctors.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I ususally reach out and gather more information on the particulars of thier project and acess thier wants vs thier needs for the project ask about thier budget to ensure that I can actually do what they need within thier parameters. I get thier phone numbers talk with them and also meet them during the estimate to get a better idea of thier project. In some cases when the customer is from out of town and its a second home or a rental I can do a video confrence call to look at thier project, the usually are a little longer than a meet.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a Career Construction Man, I spent 5 years doing Framing and roofing, then for the next few years I moved on to city infrastructure work that took me all around the state. Finally, the last almost 6 years I was a Senior Superintendent for a Large builder where I built almost 200 homes in that span. Now I went into business for myself after I got my GC license.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Ever since I was a young man I wanted to get into construction and build things.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Customers are like colors, there are many differnt kinds and I have works with all types. It does not matter which color of customer it is since I just need thier canvas to paint thier picture.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I completed a very large remodel that I was recommended by a real estate agent friend of mine, and the customers had something happen where they sale of thier house was faster then expected prior to moving into the new one and they gave me exactly 4 weeks to complete a full tear out of all the flooring, baseboard, kitchen and countertops, carpet stairs, as well as I had to do a bunch of drywall work and paint. I completed about 98% of the work in 30 days, even my workers were impressed at how fast that project went. oh, and the house was 3,300s/f under air!! that is definetly and undertaking and I am proud of that job.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Call Me, lol. No seriously, you should speak with people who have had services completed by that company, those are actual references that the company should have no problem providing you. Speak with the previous customer if at all possible, the next best thing is look into the reviews.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Take a good look at your project, write down any questions that you may have about it. Set realistic expectations about what the project you are about to undertake may be and that most projects inside the home will interfere with your daily lives until it is complete. Here are some good ones Questions to ask; How long do you estimat this project to be completed start to finish? How far out is your company from beginning this project if we select you as the contractor? Can you actually get all of this completed within our budget? Do you have any cupons or discounts running at this time that can be applied to my project? Can you give me some refrences of your recent customers? Are you Licensed and Insured?
