What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our pricing is based on complexity of the project, man hours or labor and material if they are included. Most of the time, in order for clients to save money or have flexibility, we advise them, if they prefer, to buy their own materials. That way they can shop around, bargain and use a credit card if they choose to.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First and foremost I listen....I do not talk about me and how wonderful I am and how me me me me.... Is the client's point of view that it matters and is their show. I'm there to listen and help our clients make their ideas a reality and always stay on budget.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I personally have a degree in Mechanical Drawing/Architectural Drafting. Which it has help me in the home building process. I have also worked as a Financial Advisor for a Major Financial Company. The experience of doing complete rehabbing of homes have given me the expertise of design and color coordination.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

We flip houses since 2004. All our projects were complete gut jobs. When we were done people always asked where, who, and who we did or came up with the design for the I I kitchens, bathrooms, etc. Until one day my wife said" why don't you get your contractor's license and have another source of income". Boy was she right! After 2008 flipping slow down a lot and we needed another source of income. The contracting kept us going....Good call honey.

What types of customers have you worked with?

All kinds and from all walks of life. Our clients are Doctors, Ceo's, Teachers, Retires. etc..We do not discriminate. To answer the question, the type of customers we have deal with are HUMANS!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Our resent projects involve bathrooms, flooring and a fireplace. They were carefully selected and plan by both the client and us. Creating a unique look on a friendly budget. The time it took it varies from project to project but the bathrooms took 45 days for 2-1/2, floors took 5 days, and the fireplace took 5 days.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

As in everything, there are good and bad people, which makes our job a bit more challenging, but you need to ask questions. All humans have the "BS" alert, when you feel it, listen to it and get a second quote.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Be informed, do your homework.... that way it helps you and the right contractor will be on the same page and no room for dishonesty.
