What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We provide an extensive work scope of what the project will cost. Each item is listed and cost provided for each aspect of the renovation project. Our clients love this because it gives them the choice of picking and choosing based on need and cost.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After a conversation with our Office Team, we book an in the house or virtual consultation where our talented Designer - Project manager can evaluate space take the measurement, and collect and media, data, or inspiration from the client. After this, we present our Labor and products proposal and avg 5 to 7 days later in our office.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We attend industry webinars as a team and provide training for each new tool or procedure we encounter. @31+ years serving NYC homeowners, we have a lot of knowledge in our field and appreciate that there is always more to learn.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

The philosophy of Keith Steier, owner and General Manager of Knockout Renovation, leads everything they do. He’s made it his life’s work to develop the best all-in-one project management system possible. That combined with a belief in continuous growth and improvement has resulted in a client-focused, process-driven, award-winning service. Prior to founding the company in 1992, he honed his skills as a handyman for the prestigious 100 UN Plaza in Manhattan’s Turtle Bay, on behalf of residents ranging from diplomats to celebrities. He even helped the spouse of one shall-remain-nameless Academy Award winner gain freedom from the wrong side of a jammed bathroom door! Before that, Keith was the superintendent of a large co-op for six years, and prior to that, served in the United States Navy, where he specialized as a welder, plumber, sheet metal fabricator, and damage control man. Keith is a family man and lives in New York.
