Introduction

My name is North and I’m the owner and general contractor for Greater Tulsa Renovations. I have over 25 years experience doing building and home maintenance. I grew up working alongside my father doing carpentry, electrical, plumbing, demolition work, and roofing. I graduated from job corps, where I studied carpentry, basic electrical as well as building and apartment maintenance. When working on projects I'm professional, prompt, and take feedback and instructions well. I'm also meticulous and fast at executing tasks. Before moving to Tulsa, I did on-demand moving and light assembly jobs for Lugg, where I was rated 5 stars with over 100 moving jobs.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I offer discounts on multiple day projects, and longer moves. My fees vary depending on the amount of people needed to complete the task in a timely manner. Every project is different, and I would love to speak with you to see how I can be of assistance.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I generally like to get an overall idea of the customer's goals with their project. I am open to receiving photos and/or videos in advance if it will help communicate what you'd like done.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I graduated from Job Corps where I studied home and building maintenance. I've been a carpenter for over 20 years doing painting, framing wooden structures, woodwork, and more.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My father was a roofer and put me to work at the age of 1 1. I've always enjoyed working with my hands, and learned quickly how to take older things and make them look new. I've always liked the process of beginning a project and seeing it through to completion.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with a wide range of private and corporate customers including property managers, schools and universities, state and regional parks, and office building managers. I'm extremely versatile and treat each project with the same level of professionalism.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently was contacted by a couple who wanted a wedding arch built from scratch. I'd never done a wedding project, so I was excited to take it on. I finished the arch in a few hours and the couple was thrilled with how it turned out. And I loved seeing the family's wedding photos with my work featured as a highlight.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would recommend having a conversation in advance and going over every detail of the project to make sure the scope of work is realistic for the time frame the customer expects to have the project finished.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1. What is my budget for my project, and how flexible can I be with it? 2. Do I have a time limit for finishing the project? 3. How often would I like to receive updates? 4. What are some obstacles or changes that could arise with the project? 5. What qualities am I looking for in a professional?
