Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Pricing really depends on the project, but for most fence installations you will find it priced by the linear foot. Having the estimated linear footage makes for the most accurate quote to stand by.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
The first step is to schedule me to meet with you for a consultation to see the intended work. After that, we can speak about scheduling, and following up on the project.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have installed or maintained over 300 fences from residential clients, to equine and cattle operations.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I got in to the business by replacing fence posts on the side from my landscape business, then I found my nitch, and started full installations.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked for residential clients, restaurants, day care centers, non-profit organizations, government entities, farms and ranches, housing authorities, property managers, and just about anyone who benefits from improving their security or curb appeal.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I complete a variety of fences every week from gate replacements, residential privacy fences, to ranches.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Advice that I have for the customers would be to look at my background in the industry and to see the amount of time and effort that I put in to every project, from small to large.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Customers need to ask about what options they have for a certain product or solution before assuming the contractor will take care of it. A lot of the time, there is a more cost effective way to achieve a solution, or an option that will satisfy the need for a longer period.
