Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We only work with serious clients ready to get projects done, we do charge a consultation fee that varies based on time needed to visit with you and fully grasp your vision and type of project at hand, we do this in order to filter out clients who are not ready and get right to our clients ready to work. We are not going to be the cheapest contractor you can find. But, we are also not the most costly. We tend to be in line with industry standard pricing through our very thorough estimation process. When talking budget we prioritize these things at Coleman construction: 1. “Bang for your buck” (if we don’t think something is worth your money for the differences you’ll see, we’ll be very up front and direct with you about it, but it’s your decision at the end of the day what services we provide or don’t) 2.Quality (there are certain installs and products we will refuse to provide you based on our experience and knowing what stands the test of time and what doesn’t, we provide warranties on our work and stand by it) 3. Expectations (we have a deep understanding of the wants and needs of our clients and make it our priority, we will take into account all considerations when making recommendations and building your custom package, clients with higher goals and expectations will see a price tag reflective of that vs a client who needs the bare minimum and something that lasts without breaking the bank and we’re happy to help both types of clients and everyone in between)

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I’ve been going to projects with my father since the age of 6, learning this trade and perfecting my craft and continue to strive to be better with every project.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We’ve worked with everyday neighbors next door of all walks of life, investors looking for highest profitability on their real estate portfolio, senior citizens, newly wed young couples just getting started on their first home and building a family and everything in between. We’re happy to help all clients who are seeking services of our caliber.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We recently remodeled an entire luxury home in southlake that was built in the 1970’s, the key design changes made were, removal of load bearing walls separating the kitchen from living areas and dining room utilizing new LVL beams, creating a modern, open concept for our client and bringing the home from the 70’s to the modern era. Created custom cabinets and a large entertaining island in place of the old walls with a modern and beautiful Quartz countertops integrated with modern tech and integrated electrical outlets, USB connections and seamless push button on countertop for disposal use. We also remodeled all 3 bathrooms in the home, all Sheetrock re-textured and painted, wainscoting removed, old outdated trim and doors replaced with modern 3 panel and shaker trim, custom designed white oak hardwood flooring, marble flooring, custom stonework to fireplace, new picture frame floor to ceiling windows, new paved driveway from old gravel, repainted entire exterior of home and repriced areas of window changes. This home was truly revived and brought into the modern day styling and was done at an affordable price for our client and will provide many years of enjoyment for them and their family to enjoy and create memories for generations to come. These are the type of projects that Coleman construction thrives on providing.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
-Always request pictures/ videos of previous work. -Do your research on standard industry pricing from multiple reputable companies and sources to know what to expect. -Expect to get what your pay for, lower cost projects will typically have a lesser quality experience and finish than a higher cost project if quotes are apples to apples. -lastly, go with your gut. Choose the contractor or company that you’re most comfortable with and emphasizes the things that are important to you in order to feel good about your purchase and finished product.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
When working with clients, we find it fastest and easiest when customers come prepared and are up front with 1. Budget established 2. Desired start date established 3. Basic idea of styling in mind (Pinterest boards are very helpful and common references we use)
