I am a licensed general contractor and have been in the construction industry for over 20 years. I have a crew and can quickly get out to bid your job. We are fast, reliable, clean cut, and priced fairly. Red Door Fence & Flooring will get it done! $10% for fences over 300 ft.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We price fairly. Lumber prices are variable so that is a factor the customer must accept given the current economic inflation - we have no control of this. Our labor prices are determined by the number of hours estimated and the number of workers needed.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We like to talk on the phone and get a sense of your project and priorities. After this discussion, if both parties wish to proceed, we will set up a time to come by and get our eyes on the job. After a walk-through, we take measurements and write down details of your preferences. We email or text an estimate to you within 24 working day hours. Once you review the estimate, we discuss again - eliminating or adding items as desired. The final estimate is converted to an invoice, and we require all material funds up front and 1/2 labor costs up front. The remaining 1/2 labor costs are paid the morning of our last day on the job.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Licensed General Contractor with the State of Washington. Bonded.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have been building new homes for over 20 years, both custom and spec homes. Fencing/Decking is an area that I enjoy doing in between builds or when the need is high.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with all types of customers, low budgets to unlimited.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

My recent home build included a beautiful deck with views of Hood Canal which I trimmed in cedar planks.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

For Fence and Deck projects, it is vital that you hire contractors who are detailed oriented, professional, clean-cut, and reliable. Drug-free, with high integrity and consistent communication skills.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

It is a good idea to describe a single project that you wish to begin with. Research on Google your desired project, gather some photos you like. Measure the room or area. What we charge is always dependent on the cost of materials you choose, size of the space, and time needed to install or complete the work.
