What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At Precision Painting & Construction, we believe in upfront, honest pricing—no hidden fees, no surprise charges. Every project is custom-quoted based on scope, materials, and craftsmanship required. We take the time to break down your estimate so you know exactly what you're paying for.
We occasionally offer seasonal promotions and referral discounts, especially for larger remodels or bundled services (like interior painting + cabinet refinishing). If you're working within a specific budget, we're happy to explore creative options to help you get the most value from your investment without cutting corners.
Our goal is to deliver exceptional results that match your vision and timeline—at a fair, transparent price.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At Precision Painting & Construction, our goal is to turn your vision into reality—without the stress. We’ve refined our process to ensure it’s smooth, transparent, and tailored to your needs. Here’s what working with us typically looks like:
Initial Consultation:
We start with a complimentary consultation to understand your project goals, timeline, and budget. Whether it's a full remodel or a fresh coat of paint, we’ll walk the space with you, answer questions, and offer expert insights.
Detailed Estimate & Scope:
After the consultation, we provide a detailed written estimate outlining costs, materials, timelines, and scope—so you know exactly what to expect. No vague promises, no surprise fees.
Design & Planning (if applicable):
For remodels or larger projects, we’ll help you fine-tune design choices, finishes, and layout options to make sure every detail aligns with your vision.
Project Kickoff:
Once everything is approved, we schedule your project and assign a dedicated crew. We show up on time, protect your space, and communicate throughout the process so you’re never in the dark.
High-Quality Work, Done Right:
Our skilled team delivers precise craftsmanship, whether we’re painting cabinets, remodeling a kitchen, or transforming your exterior. We hold ourselves to the highest standards—just like you do.
Final Walkthrough & Satisfaction Check:
Before we wrap up, we’ll do a final walkthrough with you to ensure everything meets your expectations. If anything needs a touch-up, we’ll make it right.
Follow-Up & Continued Support:
After your project is complete, we’re still here for you. We check in, stand by our work, and welcome feedback—because relationships don’t end when the tools are packed up.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
At Precision Painting & Construction, we bring over 25 years of hands-on experience in construction, remodeling, and custom painting. Our extensive background spans everything from interior and exterior painting to full-scale renovations and remodels. Over the years, we've honed our skills through real-world projects, industry best practices, and ongoing training to stay current with evolving building codes, materials, and design trends.
We don’t just rely on experience—we build teams that reflect our values of craftsmanship and integrity. Every crew member is thoroughly vetted and trained to meet our high standards for quality, professionalism, and safety on the job site. When you work with us, you're not just hiring a contractor—you're getting a seasoned team committed to turning your vision into reality with precision and care.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started in this line of work the old-fashioned way—by picking up a hammer and a paintbrush alongside my dad. I grew up in the construction trade, learning the ropes on job sites and soaking up everything I could about craftsmanship, problem-solving, and hard work. Over the years, I honed those skills through hands-on experience, from painting interiors to full-scale remodels. I took that foundation and joined the Carpenters Union. Eventually, I built Precision Painting & Construction to bring that same level of care, precision, and pride to every project we touch. For me, it’s not just about making spaces look great—it’s about helping people turn their vision into reality, the right way.
What types of customers have you worked with?
At Precision Painting & Construction, we’ve had the pleasure of working with a wide range of clients throughout the Greater Vancouver and Clark County area. From young families settling into their first homes to long-time homeowners ready to refresh or renovate, our customers share one thing in common: they value craftsmanship, clear communication, and a job done right.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of our most meaningful recent projects was a full-home remodel for a disabled client. Her home was no longer functional for her day-to-day life, and she needed a space that allowed for independence, comfort, and ease of movement.
We worked closely with her to redesign every room—from widening doorways and adjusting counter heights to reworking the layout for better mobility flow. It wasn’t just about updating finishes; it was about building with purpose and empathy. By the time we wrapped up, she was able to move freely through her home without obstacles for the first time in years.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don’t just hire the cheapest contractor—hire the right one. In painting and construction, the quality of craftsmanship and communication matters just as much as the price. Ask for references. Look at before-and-after photos. Make sure they’re licensed, insured, and experienced with your specific type of project.
And pay attention to how they show up: Do they answer questions clearly? Do they offer a detailed estimate? Are they upfront about timelines? At Precision Painting & Construction, we’ve built our reputation on transparency, quality, and treating your home like our own.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
At Precision Painting & Construction, we believe the best projects start with a clear vision and great communication. Before reaching out to a contractor (us or anyone), here are a few smart questions to ask yourself to ensure the conversation is productive and your goals are fully understood:
1. What’s my end goal?
Are you updating for resale, improving function, adding value, or just tired of looking at that avocado green wall from 1993? Knowing your “why” helps us recommend the best approach and materials.
2. What’s my budget range?
You don’t need an exact number, but having a realistic range helps guide the design, scope, and finish level of your project. We’re happy to offer solutions at different price points.
3. What’s my ideal timeline?
Do you need this done before hosting family over the holidays or is it a “sometime this year” project? Knowing your timeframe helps us plan accordingly and deliver on expectations.
4. What areas of the home need work?
Be specific: Is it the kitchen cabinets, stair treads, exterior paint, or a full interior refresh? The more details you can provide, the better we can prepare with accurate estimates and advice.
5. Are there any materials, colors, or styles I already love—or hate?
Pinterest boards, photos, or just strong opinions are helpful. Our team is great at translating your inspiration into reality.
6. Have I researched local regulations or HOA rules?
Especially important for exterior projects, decks, or remodels—some neighborhoods or counties have rules we’ll need to follow.
7. What’s my decision-making process?
Will it be a solo decision, or will a spouse/partner/family member be involved? Knowing who needs to be in the loop helps streamline communication.
