Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our pricing reflects what it truly takes to deliver quality results. We’re competitive, but we don’t chase the lowest bid — because we’re not in the business of cutting corners. We don’t sell price; we sell outcomes that last. That said, we’re always transparent about what’s included, and we offer financing as well as discounts for seniors, veterans, and first responders. We believe in fair pricing, honest work, and building real value into every project.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We start with a no-obligation, free in-home consultation and estimate. We’ll walk the space, listen to your goals, and offer honest recommendations. For customers who are ready to move forward, we do offer incentives to help them get the best value. We’re also flexible when it comes to scheduling — we’ll do our best to meet at a time that works for you.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
We’re licensed residential builders and licensed plumbers in both New Mexico and Arizona. We stay current with local building codes, safety standards, and modern techniques to ensure every project is done right. Our team brings both experience and ongoing diligence to meet or exceed today’s construction and remodeling standards.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
All of us at KRCS have been in the trades since a young age. Our backgrounds range from ground-up construction on custom and spec homes to specialized work like stucco, windows, kitchens, bathrooms, and custom carpentry. Between us, we bring over 30 years of hands-on experience — not just managing jobs, but actually building them.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We’ve worked with just about every kind of homeowner — from first-time buyers to retirees, from high-end custom remodels to budget-conscious updates. Some are focused on accessibility or long-term comfort, others want design-forward upgrades or value-added improvements before selling. Whether it’s a full renovation or a practical upgrade, we tailor each project to meet the client’s needs, not just their price point. Good credit or bad, we’re here to help find solutions that work.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We recently completed a full remodel of two bathrooms and a kitchen for a homeowner in the Northeast Heights of Albuquerque. The project also included new flooring throughout and an upgraded electrical panel. It was a smooth job from start to finish — we came in on time and under budget, and the client was thrilled with the transformation. It’s always satisfying to deliver great results without surprises.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Ask plenty of questions and make sure you get a written scope of work that actually makes sense to you. Always verify that the contractor is licensed and insured, and ask whether permits will be pulled when required. Most importantly, avoid big-box or one-size-fits-all package deals — every home is different, and your project deserves a tailored solution, not a cookie-cutter fix.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Before starting a remodel, ask yourself: Will I use it, enjoy it, and will it actually improve my daily life or the value of my home? It’s easy to overpay or invest in the wrong things without a clear goal. Think about whether you’re planning to stay long-term or eventually sell — and make sure your expectations are grounded in what makes sense for your home, not just what looks good on paper.
