Introduction

PLEASE READ!! We also do Organizing and Decluttering services too! Hoarding Michigan offers many services to our clients. We aim to serve anyone who needs to get their life back on track. The cost of services is not as important to us as much of the needs of our clients. With that said here are some of the services we offer: Hoarding situations: Hoarding Michigan is very concerned with hoarding. It is a terrible disease and situation to be in. We are here to stand with you and work through your situation. We will come out and do an assessment of the project, talk with you about your goals and set a path to bring you success in your life. Every situation is different and we are here to help. We are a one-stop place to help you work through your project. Decluttering Small-Scale and Whole-Home Projects: This is a service where the client is or is not at the job site. Maybe they just want to rid their home of things or it may be a situation where the client has moved to a different location and need their previous home cleaned out to make it ready for sale. We come out to the site to give you an honest assessment of how much the cost will be. Organizing Situations: Hoarding Michigan will come out and help you organize whatever you need help with. We start with a base price and if more time is needed we will come up with a flat rate to help you finish your project. We will then steer you on the right path to help you stay organized with the various options we have. Please let us help you. You need to control your home, not your home controlling you.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Pricing is kind of difficult until we see the actual project at hand. The basic organization is $ 75 an hour per organizer, which usually leads to something more. Home cleanouts normally start at $2800.0p and comprehensive hoarding cleanouts are priced based on project and need.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
In working with a new client, I want to understand what is going on in their life. Maybe it is just an organizing situation, or maybe wanting to rid themselves of a bunch of discards they do not want anymore. We also work with hoarding clients where I try to get to the root of the problem.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have been in the helps business all of my life. Usually people wouldn't want to come to me because I have never worked in anything that you want; it is what you need. I worked as an aftercare counselor and preplanning in the funeral business which was the most rewarding job of my life.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started as a dishwasher at 15 so I have always been doing for others, helping them. It was a natural progression for me. People are hurting and I am here to help them in their time of need. I am very humbled to work with any of our clients.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
As every person is different, every client and their needs are different. You have to be able to talk with them and find out how you can help them achieve the success they are looking for.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We recently did a project where a lady was dying and her daughter needed to get her apartment cleared out. We didn't know it would happen so fast but the lady died the same day after we had finished cleaning up for her. My team was very emotional when we found that out.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Remember that the 'cheapest' provider is not always the best. You really need to learn where their heart is in these kind of projects. If they are in it for the money, then that is not probably the best choice. Listen to their hearts.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I would suggest that clients really need to think about the scope of their project and what they are trying to accomplish before they reach out to professionals. Reality needs to set in so we can make it beneficial for everyone. Accomplishment is the biggest factor here.
