What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

All service calls are $300, which will be credited towards future work. Many items have fixed prices regardless of time taken to solve the problem. Please ask for an estimate prior to work being performed.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We prefer more information upfront, preferably in text or email format with pictures if applicable. Sometimes further information is needed, and we will request a phone call or an in person visit.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We bring years of experience working in all types of residential houses. We started as a property management solution for landlords doing everything regarding in home maintenance. Our main field technician has worked in sign fabrication, jewelry, rapid prototyping, and solar. Our secondary field technician has 13+ years plumbing, 5+ years in concrete and framing and is a GC.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Advantage Home Repairs LLC started in property management as an all in one solution for landlords needing regular maintenance, repairs, and remodels.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Advantage Home Repairs mainly works with residential customer but we have a couple of commercial contracts we maintain. Real estate for sale and rental properties are accepted as well.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We took a favorite table a client provided and built an "L" shaped kitchen floating counter top with a sink using that same rectangular table. Wonderful people and the results were great.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Hire someone local who shows they are in the business for the long run. Look for someone who desires to build lasting relationships with each client, preferably someone has years of experience working on homes repairs and renovations.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Clients should have a budget in mind, a timeline in mind, and be open with questions and concerns upfront. Realize that someone or even a team will be in their living space while the work is going on, and there may be tarps and tools in your livingroom for possible days. If the project is a kitchen remodel, it might be a good time to go on vacation during the remodel and have daily meetings with project updates.
