Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
$219 trip charge and first hour of labor

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We start by listening. Whether it's a water quality concern or a plumbing need, we begin with a free consultation to understand your home, your goals, and any issues you're facing. From there, we test your water (if filtration is needed), offer honest recommendations, and provide clear pricing. Once approved, we handle everything from equipment selection to installation—and we’re always just a call away for follow-up support.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
We are licensed and insured plumbing professionals with specialized training in water treatment and purification systems. Over the years, We've completed certifications in water quality assessment, system design, and maintenance from leading manufacturers. Continuous training helps us stay ahead of the curve and deliver the best solutions for our customers.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
We started in Home Water Filtration and have expanded plumbing over 40 years ago, but what really drove me into water filtration was seeing how many families were dealing with bad-tasting, hard, or even unsafe water. I realized I could help solve that problem in a big way—by combining expert plumbing with smart water solutions. That’s how Waterbird Home Water Solutions was born.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We’ve helped a wide range of customers—from young families moving into their first home, to retirees looking for better water quality, to homeowners with well water issues. We also work with real estate agents, property managers, and contractors looking for trustworthy partners in plumbing and filtration.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of my favorite recent installs was for a family with three kids dealing with very hard, rusty well water. We designed a whole-home system that removed the iron, softened the water, and included a reverse osmosis unit for clean drinking water at the kitchen sink. The project took about a day to complete, and the family noticed the difference immediately. It’s projects like that—where we truly improve someone’s daily life—that mean the most to us.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Always ask about experience, licensing, and warranties. A good provider will explain the "why" behind their recommendations and won’t pressure you into a system you don’t need. Look for someone who listens first, communicates clearly, and stands by their work. And always read the reviews!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Great results start with the right questions. Consider: What are my main concerns with my water or plumbing? How many people live in my home and what’s our daily water usage like? Am I on city water or a private well? What’s my budget range for a long-term solution? Do I want just a fix, or a system that protects my home for years? Being clear on those will help you and your provider find the best solution together.
