Introduction

We enjoy the process in order to get to the finished product. Whether it takes removing and replacing concrete, drywall or digging we can get it done. B- MAC AND SON PLUMBING will "B" there for all your plumbing needs. As the owner/manager of B-MAC I enjoy doing what it takes to accomplish the Project at hand and to the customers expectations. Mostly we enjoy the friendships we gain through meeting of customers for service work or remodels. It's unique because my new acquaintances like to meet me and watch as I work but they don't necessarily want to see me any time soon after. LOL 😏 Although I do return and have received many referrals.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our standard service call rate is $85.00. It covers the first hour.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Communication is key. In order to achieve the end result the client wants we must first meet and discuss the project. I like to view the site or home in order to get a feel for it. Then envision the project step by step until finished. Then we start. I prefer the client calling to set an appointment.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
In 1978 I attended a full year apprenticeship training trade school so that I could have the time in the trade advanced. The instructor allowed me to be his assistant due too my knowledge in the trade already. Basically though I've had the best kind of training a young man could have and that was to be taught by his dad to carry on the family trade. I did work at other shops and always excelled in advancement because of the fundamentals I was taught and held on to.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My Dad was a plumber. I held wrenches for him since I was 5 years old. I started in the feild when I was 14. My brother and brother in law are plumbers. And I have a son who is a plumber also. Kinda runs in the family.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We have worked with everybody. However I draw a line on those who want us to take short cuts or go against the Florida Plumbing code. We do it right or we don't do it at all!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We just finished a project type that I enjoy. It's a full upgrade remodel. Renovating old cast iron drain pipes and water lines replacing them with PVC drain and copper water lines. Moving fixtures to new locations and installing new appliances, faucets and fixtures. Sometimes the difficulty of the project is the challenge I enjoy. This job location is in Ormond Beach.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure they are licensed and insured and qualified to do the project in question.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
It's not so much a question but if they can have a good idea of what they want to achieve and maybe even draw it out. Then we can discuss how to go about getting it done. If it's a simple repair or a remodel We need some description from them. As best as they can describe. Pictures are a big help.
