Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I try to make my pricing as fair as possible so that no one would feel taken advantage of. My main goal is that everyone feels good at the end of the project and I try my best to charge people accordingly.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
It depends on how intricate the project is. If it’s a smaller project I’ll make sure I understand their needs well and have all relevant information beforehand. That way their is no misunderstanding before arriving. That way we can work together efficiently. I prefer to ask as much relevant questions as possible to make sure I fully understand the expectations.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I’ve had hands on training through my line of work since 2014. I’ve installed and/or repaired both commercial and residential plumbing, preformed carpentry, painting, door repairs, flooring, framing. I’ve also worked on electrical components and electronics during my time with Main Event. Almost anything possible I’ve done. I’ve also been on the project management side for large scale projects and remodeling as I have a corporate facility management background.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started out as a apartment maintenance technician in 2014 and continued to learn and grow. I’ve managed buildings both locally and regionally as well as provided hands on maintenance and remodeling.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve worked with both residential and commercial customers. I’ve worked with high end-luxury properties/ homes. As well as properties/ homes that need to maintain more strict budgets.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I’m fond of all our work. Particularly jobs that allow for making things more aesthetically appealing.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I recommend finding someone that treats you with kindness, respect, and care. If they aren’t treating you with care, they may not treat your project with care as well.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
(Not necessarily questions)Realizing that with most projects you are paying for your contractors expertise and that doesn’t always equate to time. At times, contractors can make things look easy because they have been doing it for years. I also think it’s important to understand value and price for projects. Projects can be done on a cheaper budget but the expectations should be adjusted accordingly.
