Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We are a family-owned and operated business and understand plumbing can get expensive. We try to work with our customers as much as possible when it comes to pricing. We do give senior and military discounts and do not charge a fee to estimate jobs.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
When you call to set your appointment, you will talk to an office staff member who will go over the plumbing issue with you, gather your information, and book a time and day that works best for you. In some cases, we will put you in direct contact with our plumber to go over any questions you may have prior to booking.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
10,000-Hour Apprenticeship through UA Local 501 Plumbers in Chicago Ill.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I knew I wasn't comfortable with sitting inside all day. I was told to give the skilled trades a look, and I stopped looking once I looked into Plumbing. The trade is challenging and forever changing. It never stops changing, and people will always need a plumber.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked in Residential and Commercial new construction. Remodeling, Service work.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Hybrid water heater installs. This project was put in place by the state of Washington to take away natural gas and promote heat pump water heaters. It was great to see just how much better the electric or heat pump water heaters are. The conclusion is they are not better in performance, and I was very thankful that I was able to see this for myself.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Be sure to see that they are qualified. Ask if they are well-equipped for the project at hand. Come to the table with a well-thought-out game plan and know exactly what you want. In the service field today, I hear customers saying they were charged me double from the original bid, and that is because of up sales. If you come to the table with all the questions it eliminates unwanted charges.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Budget, timeline, and availability. Have a good idea of these 3 things, and the process will run smoothly.
