Introduction

Affordably priced and skilled in many different areas of design. I love art and enjoy all different media. I have had commissions for animal portraits from all over the country. I love to teach and work with ages 11 on up to mature adults. I teach several different mediums and work individually as well as groups. I enjoy doing murals, custom furniture painting (repurposing, etc.) It pleases me to have people excited about the finished project.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
For classes I charge $25 an hour but I do charge a few dollars more if there is a long drive. For murals I charge around $7 a square foot not including materials as well as if it is up high, etc.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to meet the customer, especially with a mural and find out what exactly they want.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Although I do not have "formal education" I have been an artist for most of my life. I have taught art on and off for the past 40+ years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have been doing art since I was a small child. I have been teaching on and off for over 40 years.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with large companies and individuals. I am comfortable with everyone.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I did a mural on a chimney. It took about 7 hours total and it turned out very well.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
When looking for an artist for a mural square footage is essential. There's a big difference between a small interior wall or a full 10x20 foot exterior space. Also, what the surface is is very helpful. Will there be prep work before, such as priming, sanding, etc.?

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I want the customer be comfortable so I prefer that they have an idea what they really want. Photos really help.
