Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
As a GC(general contractor), we manage the entire project from start to finish, and charge an overall management fee for the service. We stay up to date with current market pricing and work with suppliers and subcontractors to keep costs affordable. We offer fair pricing, but we are certainly not the cheapest.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
1) Typically we start with a phone call to discuss scope of work and establish realistic expectations for potential cost. 2) Then we move on to an on-site visit and subsequent preliminary project bid. 3) We work together to make revisions to the bid, sign the bid, sign the contract, and start the permit process if necessary. 4) We begin work onsite.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have my Class B general contractors license which allows me to work on any type of structure except for skyscrapers.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My dad has been in construction for most of his life. I have always been around the industry and I always loved doing house projects. Finally, I decided to start doing it full time!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We work primarily with clients that have unfinished space in their basement and want to add value to their home by completing the space.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
My favorite types of projects are basement finishes with custom wet bars. These types of project typically take 2-3 months from start to finish, including permitting.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Reliability and trustworthiness are arguably the 2 most important traits in the this industry. Unfortunately, there are a lot of bad people, especially in the construction industry. My goal is to change that!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
- Determine a complete scope of work. - Have you considered financing if the project requires a larger budget? - Establish a floor plan if working with an unfinished space. For instance, if you have a 750 sqft unfinished basement, think about where you want the bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. Where will the fixtures go within the bathroom?
