How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started working in construction back in H.S. during the summers first working with contractors building summer decks in Maryland, and then working as a draftsman with architects in Florida.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

The complete renovation (total gut job) of a 10,000SF home including 2 kitchens, 9 bathrooms, pool, deck , tennis courts, flooring, etc. Took 8 months to complete.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Check references and qualifications. There are too many "bad" contractors who start jobs without finishing them, cutting corners, or not properly qualified.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Realistic expectation of what the job will cost. Do some market research by visiting local showrooms for estimates on materials and finishes.
