What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on the quality of work, materials, and service that I provide. I’m not always the cheapest option, but I make sure every dollar goes toward delivering solid value—durable materials, reliable timelines, and quality craftsmanship.
I provide detailed, itemized estimates so you know exactly what you're paying for—no vague numbers or surprise charges.
It's also important to understand that pricing can vary based on things like the scope of work, material choices, structural changes, and permit requirements. I always take the time to walk clients through their quote so they understand the breakdown, and I’m happy to offer options that work within your budget.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process is designed to keep things clear, efficient, and low-stress for the homeowner. Here’s how it usually works:
Initial Consultation: We start with a conversation—either by phone or in person—where I listen to your goals, needs, and budget. This helps me understand the scope and see if we’re a good fit.
Site Visit & Assessment: I visit the property to take measurements, look at existing conditions, and talk through options. This step ensures I can give you a realistic plan and estimate.
Detailed Estimate & Proposal: I’ll provide a detailed quote that outlines materials, labor, timeline, and payment schedule. Transparency is key—I make sure you know exactly what to expect.
Contract & Planning: Once everything looks good, we sign a contract. Then I schedule the project, order materials, and coordinate with any necessary subcontractors or specialists.
Construction Begins: I keep you updated throughout the project, handle any issues quickly, and make sure the jobsite is safe and clean.
Final Walkthrough & Wrap-Up: Once the work is done, we walk through everything together to make sure you’re happy. I only consider the job complete when you’re satisfied.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve been a licensed General Contractor for over 30 years, and in that time, I’ve built my business on integrity, quality, and consistency. I’m Triple-A rated with zero infractions, which reflects both my work ethic and my commitment to doing things right. While I didn’t come through a traditional college path, my education has been hands-on—from running job sites to managing crews, reading plans, navigating code requirements, and delivering projects that stand the test of time. I also make it a priority to stay current with new building materials, technologies, and code changes through ongoing industry training and certifications. At the end of the day, my track record, reviews, and repeat clients are the best reflection of the training I’ve had—real-world experience you can trust.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My background includes both formal and hands-on training in the construction and remodeling industry. I started working with my farther at age 7 who was a General Contractor. I continued to learn on the job for about 20 years before going off on my own. I've managed projects from small renovations to full-scale luxury remodels. I stay current with building codes, safety standards, and new materials or methods. I’m also fully licensed and insured.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with a wide range of customers over the years, including homeowners looking to update outdated spaces, real estate investors needing fast turnarounds on fix-and-flips, and growing families who want to expand or reconfigure their homes. I’ve handled everything from kitchen and bathroom remodels to full-home renovations, and I pride myself on adapting to each client’s vision, timeline, and budget. Communication and craftsmanship are always at the core of what I do.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
My most current project was a full kitchen remodel. I replaced all kitchen cabinets, countertops, backsplash, flooring and fixtures. This project took a total of 9 days from start to finish. The typical turnaround time for me to do a kitchen remodel is 2 weeks max. I am very hands on, and I only sub out electrical and plumbing. This cuts down on unnecessary traffic of strangers in your home and project downtime. Essentially there is no downtime when I am doing the work.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I always tell customers to take their time choosing the right contractor. Look for someone who’s licensed, insured, and has STRONG references. Don’t just go with the lowest bid—make sure you’re comparing quality, materials, timelines, and communication style. Ask to see previous work, and make sure you get everything in writing, including the scope, payment schedule, and timeline. A good contractor will be transparent, responsive, and willing to walk you through the process before any work starts.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Before reaching out to contractors, I always recommend that customers take some time to clarify a few key things about their project. This helps make the first conversation much more productive. Some questions to think through include:
What’s your overall goal? Are you looking to improve functionality, update the look, increase home value, or all of the above?
What’s your realistic budget? It’s okay if it’s just a ballpark, but knowing your comfort zone helps us propose the right options.
What’s your ideal timeline? Are you hoping to get started right away, or are you planning ahead for later in the year?
How do you plan to use the space? This helps tailor the design and materials to your lifestyle.
Are there any must-haves or deal-breakers? Think materials, layout features, finishes, etc.
Have you done any remodeling before? If not, I can walk you through what to expect.
The more a homeowner thinks through these kinds of questions, the smoother the planning and quoting process will go. And if you’re not sure about something, that’s okay too—my job is to help guide you through it.
