Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Prices are determined by the size of project, my average price for a full remodel bathroom is $14.000-16.000.In this price includes demolition, dumpster, construction material (sheet rock, cement board, motor, etc). Installation of new plumbing, lights, tile, vanity, etc. at the end of the project I clean everything. Sometimes I do free of charge for installing a mirror, painting, (small things). Usually for second time clients I give discounts.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
A typical process working with a new customer is, talking with them for a bit asking what their project is about. After a bit of a chat, I ask for their ideas, opinions on the project and with my experience I know I usually would suggest my ideas and opinions of what they want. When I start the project sometimes when I'm working on something I would ask sometimes what they think of specific things in the project and give out my opinions on it as well.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Some training that relates to my work is wood working, working with doors, wood trims, etc. Which helped me learn new things.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I used to do wood working a lot, and for a project I tried doing tile, installing tile, it was very interesting and fun for me doing it and it looked really good. I started doing it more and more and all of my clients loved the work.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Ive worked with many different kind of clients, some clients that have no idea about anything. When I have a client like that, I try my best to help them out, I give out my ideas and suggestions to make the project look very precious.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A recent project I've worked on was a full bathroom, new plumbing, new tile, new vanity, new lights, mirror, and more. This very big project took about 2 weeks to finish fully.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
If you are trying to hire someone to do good work. Contact them and see the way they talk to you, don't just look at their reviews or photos, but listen to the way they talk to you. If they actually want to work for you and do good work, they would give out many ideas and suggestions that they think will look amazing in your project. They will respond back as soon as possible and have a lot of suggestions for your project.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
They should think through most importantly about their budget. A lot of people can charge a lot for a project, so you should find a budget and look at what your project is and contact many people and see what price they ask for. Another good question to think through is the project big or small. It can be difficult for some contractors when someone with a big project might not list everything they need, but only tell them after. It's important to list and explain in details all of the work that needs to be done, as well ask for the contractors opinions.
