My name is Amanda, I am the owner and sole-employee of A.H. Drywall and Paint. I am a carpenter by trade, and I have been working in the industry for 10+ years. While working commercial construction, most of my jobs were remodels that I self-performed; including anything from framing, drywall, paint, flooring, casework and more. Even though I am a well-rounded craftsman, I enjoy finishing drywall and I love painting, so that’s why I chose to form my business around those services. I take pride in a clean workspace, I’m knowledgeable, careful, honest, timely and detail oriented. Above all, I’m a professional. I hope to work with you soon!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Drywall and paint projects are priced by the square foot.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Once a lead comes in, I promptly ask for a time to visit the project site to get a quote. If its just a drywall repair or patch I can usually quote via text.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a Journeyman Carpenter, I became an apprentice in 2015 and a Journeyman in 2020. I was a superintendent for 3.5 years for a general contractor until I started my own company. I went to school for Architectural Engineering and Business Management.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I had an ambitious start to my career. When I was 18 I started working at Menards in the plumbing, cabinets, and paint departments. I ended up working there for 5 years while going to college for Architectural Engineering. At 20, I learned about the Carpenters Union and wanted to build so I started the apprenticeship! Became a Journeyman at 25, a superintendent at 26 and at 29 (1 year ago) I started my own company!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I have so many projects I loved working on so i wont name specifics, but I love jobs that I can use my craft and creativity. I love design builds, I love helping people make their dreams come to life.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Check their credentials, a DIYer is not the same as a trained professional. Be careful.
