Introduction

I am a lover of design. I design my clients " visions", I do not have a "style" I design with all the time. You can see this, in the photos of projects I have had... I love paint and color. I am as happy to also get hired for a Paint Consultant to help you choose your paint colors... IT’s the #1 FEAR of 99% of people. They try and end up choosing wrong colors, I can help with that. I am not difficult to work with, read the reviews and you should get a good feel of working with me. Thank you for the opportunity!!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Late summer 2016 - Present. A home built in 1865 Warwick , RI. The treasures we have uncovered... The Original wood floors, Brick chimney...The out back screened porch, won't be finished this year ( 2017) but we started removing the vinyl siding to find BEAUTIFUL Cedar Shingles, yes, from the 1800's. A name carved in one was 1876, what a Wild feeling! It has taken me most of the last 8 months ( unusual for a normal Renovation), we pretty much ended up with nearly renovating the complete interior... which was not initially expected. The outer structure of the home, was in great shape, very sturdy.Homes built back in 1865, not like a home built today. Watch as the renovation, the floors, the Kitchen( was updated in the1980's) a new custom bathroom. You become part of the family, when a project runs this long. A Mystic Ct, job is waiting in the wings, Finish one, and begin the next. I like to have two jobs, start them a few weeks apart... and its manageable that way. I am hoping to find another. Thumbtack has been good to my business. I have met, and worked with very nice clients from Connecticut and Rhode Island. I feel very fortunate.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Meet with me, Do you feel comfortable with me? Do you like my ideas? Make sure you and I are on the same vision page. There are some designers, who's only vision is their own. I do not work like that. I will, If I know, something to be the correct way/version, will try to make you understand why. Ultimately, the decision is yours, its your project and you have the final say.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Time involved, What about set backs and obstacles? What if an order is back ordered? How long will it take approximately to complete, knowing, there will always be a set back.? I feel this is a issue that comes up, most often.
