TEACHING A LIFE SKILL! Hi! I’m a Certified Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Lifeguard, and CPR/AED certified professional with years of experience teaching swimming in both pools and beach settings. I specialize in working with adults and children helping you build confidence and getting you moving in the water doing a lot of repetition on survival mode, which is swimming on the back along with freestyle and breaststroke etc. Adults come to swim thinking "I can’t do that” or “I’m not coordinated.” I quickly turn those doubts into “I will be great at this!” My goal is for every adult/child to leave each lesson feeling confident and with the best experience. Ideal for: ✔ Adults learning to swim for safety, fitness, triathlons, or vacations ✔ Beginners of all ages looking to gain confidence and skill in the water Class Locations & Schedule: 📍 Maryland & Washington DC (inside the Beltway) – Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday 📍 Springfield, VA & surrounding areas – Tuesday and Thursday 💦 Private Lessons at Home Pools: $175 ⭐ Grandfathered rates available for returning guests for Spring/Summer 2025 **monthly in the Chicago area ***Please take into consideration- I maintain a strict 24-hour notification cancellation and no-show policy to ensure all guest have the same opportunity to receive the highest quality of personal attention and care durning their swim session. In the case of late cancel or no-shows a $65 Fee will be charged. Best, Dana L💦

Through the US Masters, I am certified to teach adults (ages 18 and above) how to swim. I only teach adults. I teach at the PWCS Aquatics Center near Hoadly Rd. and 234 (behind Colgan H.S.) in Prince William County, Virginia. Students connect with me because I teach from my own experience. For me, swimming is a work in progress. That's why I focus on students' own goals, for example, learn how to breathe properly, flutter kick, master new strokes or swim 25 yards without stopping. I believe everyone should know how to swim for his/her own safety. As important, swimming is great for the heart, bones, muscles, joints, and emotional health. I love working with adult beginner and intermediate swimmers. They're motivated and focused. I enjoy celebrating their progress with them.
