Introduction

Available on a limited basis over the next few weeks. We will be avail in OC, Long Beach, San Diego and Riverside and will take calls to discuss your projects for Wifi and camera installs with limited troubleshooting available by appointment only. Thank you, Avery Martinez for Gistek Networks, Inc. GISTEK Networks is a 20+ year old tech company specializing in Simplified Internet Technologies. We fix the Internet at your home or business, WiFi, with limited Cat6 or Coax cabling, Video surveillance systems and cameras. We do Smart Home Integration, custom data closets and work from home (WFH) and business network consulting. Now Installing SpaceX Starlink in limited So Cal locations. We do difficult high point eve mounts, exterior to interior penetration and seal and integration into your home or business network as primary or backup connection. See Starlink pictures in my profile. We've installed satellite and point to point wireless for over 20 years. We provide both commercial and home technology services regularly fixing or improving home Internet, and WiFi. We've also do larger homes with full home WiFi, also delivering max Wifi speeds up to 1Gb. We know the carriers and fix many connectivity issues daily. Cabling work is limited to those homes with access (we won’t sub out trenching or labor, as it lead to our few complaints last year.) We are also a mutually referred service to and from Best Buy. We will help you select replacement Audio or TV components and then install for you. We have a central rep, you pay Best Buy directly and pickup or ship to you from any store. Best of both worlds. Ditch the Dish & TV boxes! Many people are still using Spectrum coax cable boxes for their TV or WiFi cubes. $5 month each. You don't need these either and you can cut your monthly cost by returning these devices. We can help you make the digital jump to Internet based TV services, the quality improves too. We have worked in new, remodeled and custom homes including vineyard and ranch homes doing extended gate cameras and outdoor WiFi coverage. we have installed several thousand TVs in hotels and homes, regularly moving power and hiding all cables, with many very large TVs installed indoors and in patios with competitive rates, especially for multi TV installs. 5 in a day is normal. Hiding cables - We regularly hide cables and add power behind TV's. To do this we usually have to cut drywall to run the cables and power. Sometimes more than one cut (4" x 4" drywall cut) is required. On completion, we reinstall the cut piece or install a blank plate. The drywall is patched and sanded smooth. Texturing and painting is not included in typical installs as most people are comfortable with this task. Texture and painting is not considered as part of the job. We have a long track record of successful installs and performance upgrades. We carry a $2M liability policy and will provide additional named insureds for projects over $2k on request. We work regularly with Spectrum, Frontier, ATT & Comcast moving or updating their services. 10% Senior Discount No charge for site surveys prior to the job ($500 minimum,) and will do a free Zoom or FaceTime in advance to give you a prelim quote for OC, IE, SD, Riverside and South Bay-Long Beach areas. I personally visit your home or job site prior to and during your project to insure the best service experience. (Contrary to our one derogatory review, we do have qualified help and I am on-site for the project. The unqualified help was dig labor, and we won’t do that type of work anymore. There is more to that review than is stated. We relied on a manufacturers capability of providing dual band internet and they couldn’t deliver. The job was finished.) Engaging us - we send you a quote, make adjustments to meet your needs and budget. When we're agreed, we invoice you, you pay half by credit card, Zelle or Venmo to lock down your install date, balance paid on completion. Acceptance Terms - We don't charge for site surveys and deal with SoCal traffic daily. Further due to traffic and other projects we might be on, it's difficult to lock down a specific appointment time and use 2-4 hour windows for surveys and installations. We try to be fair to all and it's necessary to disclose this to avoid dissatisfaction if we are tardy due to completing another project. our business is fluid and abstract, meaning we don't know how long it may take to resolve a technical issue or fix a bad cable (we didn't install, it happens regularly.) If we are running late we will text you (if we can ) don't be shy about calling. We do use it to call out as long as we have 3 bars or more. One more item, since we don't charge for surveys, it's not reviewable. Only paid services are reviewable. we only charge for paid projects. If you agree to work with us, these are our terms. We cover So Cal so we might cover 100 miles to reach you and if we can't make our window, we will contact you, as we don't want to inconvenience you. Avery Martinez, President GISTEK Networks, Inc. Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We are not going to be initially the cheapest, but experience has shown that we save our customers $ in other ways, usually including things others have overlooked. This has especially been true in working with GCs and hotel owners where the competitive bid, omitted many things relevant or required by that type of hotel, specific to technologies required. As a network company, we know intimately what is required vs a cable installer who just installs cable generally and may not know specifics such as location or number of cables and types that might be needed in the near future ie cameras not originally spec'd but are needed shortly after construction is complete or arises due to new security concerns that an architect didn't think of.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Survey, quote, adjust to meet budget, contract and deploy. $500 to $500,000.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Microsoft Partner of the year, former Microsoft, Cisco, Ubiquiti trainer, over 400 hotels installed including low voltage design and install, Cisco, Ubiquiti & Ruckus wireless, covering up to 400 sq miles at 29 Palms USMC, and Ocean View SD. Mitel & NEC phone systems, Dahua, Tyco & Exacq Video Surveillance systems to 130 cameras covering up to 350 acres and multiple custom homes, wineries and commercial businesses. Number One Integrator for IHG Hotels 2020, based on national survey of guest LOVE scores.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
We have been doing low voltage and smart networking in hotels and custom homes for many years including my own homes in Scottsdale, Laguna Beach and Temecula. I wired my grandfathers home when I was 15, got into networks early as they were first released for commercial use.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Home & Business owners, managers, Hotels, commercial businesses, city and county government, military, school districts and General Contractors upgrading or building new technology.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We frequently get brought into homes where wifi is not working, remodels and new construction. Our strength is technology, architecture and knowing building structure, drywall and low and high voltage cabling needs. We know WiFi better than most in our own industry as we are the number one WiFi integrator for IHG Hotels West Coast. A majority of the WiFi issues are overuse of f retail Mesh WiFi and extenders; they simply don't work in homes over 2500 sq'. Knowing cabling, structure and drywall, we can project paths to run Cat6/6A for access points, computers and smart TVs giving you the best performance and WiFi coverage in any size home or business. We have done homes up to 22,000 sq feet and hotels with over 400 rooms. We work daily with Spectrum, Cox and Frontier and recently added SpaceX installs to our capabilities. And we aren't kids, we have over over 30 years experience in networking and low voltage cable installations. We are rarely stumped for a solution. Give us a call or text your questions and needs. Avery Martinez, Your personal CTO, Gistek Networks, Inc.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Ask about other similar work done snd if the installer or company has done the same work at their own home or business and describe the detail and advances over normal homes. Ie full WiFi, what brands were deployed and show pictures or remote controls of lights, sound or cameras. Most companies eill have plenty to show.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Write out their technology needs and search for similar services on places like Thumbtack where a local provider or consultant can be found. Some people just need a little guidance. We have worked with homeowners in Oregon, Az., Colorado snd Utah where they needed consulting, design and remote support once installed usually by themselves including an IHG executive who needed full WiFi coverage and routing in his house during the peak of Covid. We told him what to buy, got remote control and worked with him to get the coverage needed without travel or leaving his house.
