What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m a licensed contractor in Florida (Electrical License ES12002489) and the owner of Skyline Smart Homes LLC, so you can count on fully legal, professional service.
I hold a Master’s degree in Telecommunications and have completed extensive training in smart home technologies, security systems, and networking.
My background includes:
• 4 years as a lead technician with Xfinity, where I specialized in low voltage system installations, security solutions, and network connectivity.
• 12 years as an automation engineer at Intel Corporation, where I worked hands-on with IoT devices—designing, testing, and integrating smart systems.
With this combined experience, I bring both deep technical knowledge and real-world expertise to every project.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
With a mind wired for logic and problem-solving, I’ve always been drawn to robotics, automation, and convenience. My smart home journey began as a personal hobby back in 2008, and over the years, it evolved into a true passion and profession.
What sets me apart isn’t just technical knowledge—it’s the drive to go above and beyond. I genuinely love what I do, and I’m always looking for creative ways to make things work, even integrating devices that weren’t originally designed to be smart.
If there’s a way to connect it—I’ll find it.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I’ve worked with a wide range of customers, both residential and commercial. On the residential side, I’ve helped homeowners upgrade their properties with smart security systems, cameras, lighting, and automation—whether for new builds or existing homes.
Commercially, I’ve worked with:
• Local businesses and offices looking for network, access control, and surveillance solutions
• Churches, helping them secure their buildings, install smart systems, and even automate lighting or AV equipment
• Construction companies, where I pre-wire and set up low voltage infrastructure for smart homes and future tech integration
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recent project: Installed smart LED lighting in a kitchen in North Port. The full installation took 1 day, and included clean wiring, integration with voice control, and setup through the homeowner’s smart system.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for someone who is not only licensed and experienced, but also passionate about smart technology—because the details really matter in this field. Ask for examples of past work, and make sure they’re comfortable with both the technical installation and the system integration (like apps, Wi-Fi setup, and automations).
It’s also important to hire someone who listens to your needs and can recommend the right solution, not just sell you equipment. The right provider will offer clean work, take time to explain the system, and be available for follow-up support—not just disappear after installation.
In short: Choose someone who treats your home or business like their own, and is willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything works just right.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Before reaching out to a pro, it helps to think through a few key questions to get the most accurate recommendations and pricing:
1. What’s your main goal?
(Security, convenience, remote access, automation, energy savings, etc.)
2. What areas of your home or building need coverage?
(Inside, outside, front/back yard, garage, office, warehouse, etc.)
3. Do you already have any equipment installed?
(Cameras, sensors, smart hubs, wiring, etc.)
4. What’s your internet/Wi-Fi situation like?
A stable network is critical for smart systems, so knowing this helps with planning.
5. Do you prefer wired or wireless systems?
Each has pros and cons depending on your property and needs.
6. What’s your budget range?
This helps us recommend the best value within your comfort zone.
The more you know about your needs, the more customized and efficient the solution will be—but even if you’re unsure, I can help you figure it out step by step.
