Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
$60 diagnostic fee for computers repairs. Rates are hourly for most other services.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to call them to better understand the problem. I then explain my pricing let them decide how to proceed.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
27 years in the IT industry. Microsoft Certified Professional, CompTIA A+ and Net+ Certified.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have always been the go to person for friends and family when they needed technology related help. I really enjoy this type of work so it made sense to do it full time.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Both residential and commercial customers. I have experience working with technology savvy and not so technology savvy users. My focus is on customer service!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I work a lot with our senior community who is not really familiar with technology. Recently I helped a lady get her wireless printer working, moved two televisions, and setup a firestick for her. Took about an hour. I enjoy anytime I get to help and meet our senior community!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
It is not always about the lowest price. Look for experience and make the pro you choose is insured. You want the job done right the first time and any damages the pro may cause are covered.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Is the pro insured? What is your budget? When you would like the project done? Do you want the pro to come to you? or would you like to bring your device to them?
