We offer transparent, flat-rate pricing for all services. Most smart device installations range from $100–$200 depending on complexity. Our Starter Smart Home Package is $499 and includes 3 device installations and a consultation. We also offer custom quotes for larger jobs. No hidden fees—just upfront, honest pricing tailored to your project.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We begin with a consultation (virtual or on-site) to understand your goals, your home’s layout, and the smart systems you're interested in. Then we provide a custom plan, including recommended devices, network setup, and installation timeline. Once approved, we handle the full install and walk you through how to use everything confidently.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have hands-on experience working with Ubiquiti UniFi networking systems, Home Assistant integrations, and smart home ecosystems including Ring, Reolink, Zigbee, and Z-Wave.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started by automating my own home—from lighting and locks to security and climate control. Friends and family took notice, and I began helping them set up their own systems. That passion turned into Ghost Smart Homes, offering the same quality and reliability to homeowners and small businesses across Michigan.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We work with homeowners looking to upgrade their living spaces, landlords securing rental properties, small business owners enhancing office efficiency, and even residential developers integrating smart features into new builds. Whether you're tech-savvy or brand new to smart home tech, we adapt to your level and goals.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We recently completed a full-home automation setup for a family in Hazel Park. It included a Ubiquiti Wi-Fi network, smart lighting, thermostat, video doorbell, and Home Assistant dashboard. The project took two days from start to finish, and the clients were thrilled with the functionality and ease of use.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for someone who not only understands the technology, but who will tailor it to your lifestyle. A good smart home provider listens to your needs, explains things clearly, and ensures you can confidently use your new tech—not just install it and leave.
