Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing is structured to be clear and fair, based on the work involved: - Consultation Fee: $150 flat This covers diagnostics, travel, and job prep. - Hourly Rate: $150/hour Example: - 1 hour = $300 total - hours = $450 total Additional time billed at $150/hour. Business clients: $225 + $225/hr Manhattan business clients: $300 + $300/hr Non-business hours work: 1.5x rate Final pricing may vary depending on job complexity or unexpected issues. I’ll always explain any changes in advance.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I start by understanding your issue or project goal in detail. I’ll let you know right away if it’s something I can handle confidently—I don’t take on work blindly. I’m transparent throughout the process and happy to walk you through what I’m doing, especially if you’re curious about the tech side. Communication and clarity are key to getting it done right.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a bachelor’s degree, but more importantly, I bring nearly 20 years of hands-on experience—10+ years professionally and another decade of personal experience before that. Certifications are helpful, but real-world troubleshooting, networking, and system building come from experience—and that’s what I bring to the table.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I’ve been into technology since I was a kid—it’s always come naturally to me. Over the years, I saw how tech could truly make people’s lives easier—at home, at work, and everywhere in between. After working as an IT professional for years, I decided to take that knowledge and create my own business, delivering high-quality service directly to clients.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I mostly work with residential clients and local small businesses—including construction companies, cabinet manufacturers, roofing contractors, and other trades. Many of these businesses use industry-specific software, and I help them keep everything running smoothly—even when support from the vendor is limited.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently helped a small business relocate to a new office, handling their full IT move—network setup, workstation connections, 20 security cameras, and 10 wireless access points. They’re now a managed client, and I provide daily maintenance and support. Another successful project was an office move in Manhattan, where I brought over all networking and computers and had everything up and running on day one. Smooth transitions like these are what I focus on delivering.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Provide as much detail about your issue or goals as you can. The more we know, the better we can plan. Also, work with providers who have a solid track record—reliable tech work isn’t just about fixing the problem today, but making sure it’s done right so you’re not fixing it again next month.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
The biggest one: What’s your end goal? Knowing your final objective helps me give you the best solution—there are often many ways to approach a tech problem, but we want the right one for your situation.
