Online and in person tutoring available I have tutored 1,000's of students and held positions from private tutoring all math subjects up to calculus to instructing classroom size test prep courses for tutoring centers for the ACT, SAT, and HSPT with success. I understand the intricacies of crafting a well-rounded and effective college application, helping students see the full potential of their passions and build out the story their application will ultimately tell. As a Harvard graduate, non-profit founder, and dedicated mentor with 9 years of teaching experience, I offer comprehensive guidance throughout the application, from academic/EC consulting to SAT/ACT test prep to crafting a college list and writing the essays. At the core of my process, I help students explore three fundamental parts of themselves and their high school experience: the story that makes them who they are, the curious fire inside that influences the way they think, and how they ultimately plan to impact the world. From there, we strategize around how their activities, passion projects, academics, and college essays are proof of an underlying purpose and drive to succeed. Over the years, I’ve helped countless students get into top 4-year universities and Ivy Leagues such as Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Wharton, USC, Tufts, Georgetown, NYU, and more. I have experience helping students build out passion projects, apply to internships, and submit for essay competitions such as Scholastic and NCTE. My differences from corporate or large Admissions counselors: First, this is a labor of love; I treat & care for students as if they're my own children (who got into their #1 schools), and work closely with parents. Second, the big corporate or college counseling services offer rigid scheduling & limited input; I offer lower pricing for same expertise, proven strategies tailored to your child, and always-available personalized service. I'm a 24/7, supportive mentor/coach/big brother for the student (and parents!) to lean on & learn from.
