Introduction

I’ve been tutoring in Los Angeles for 15 years specializing in Math, English, and standardized tests, and sent students to some of the country’s top schools! I work with students all over the world as well on Zoom. As a dedicated full-time professional tutor, I’ve spent years formulating programs that help students excel academically. Unlike many tutors who do this as a side job, this is my primary career, and I’ve put in the hard work and dedication it takes to produce results! I craft personalized lesson plans tailored to each student, so that their individual needs are met. As we work together, I continue to refine and adapt my approach based on their progress, guaranteeing a learning experience that is completely individualized, and one that works! I graduated from Stanford as a double major in Mathematics and Economics, and I specialize in Math, English, and standardized tests (SAT, ACT, ISEE, GRE, GMAT, and LSAT). I have taken all of these tests and scored within the top 0.1% of scorers, and I continue to take these tests once a year to keep my score intact and stay aware of changes. Unlocking each student’s potential for optimal academic performance is something that motivates me. I love to help people and see them succeed! Let’s work together and maximize your potential!

Q&A

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have been teaching since I was in college, both as a teacher aide, and within individual tutoring groups. To set myself apart from the others, and to better identify with my students, I retake all the major standardized tests each year. This helps me to be a better tutor because it ensures my scores are always current, it shows me all the little changes in the tests year by year, and it allows me to empathize with my students' experience in taking the test. I look at myself as a continuous student. I'm always looking to learn more and grow.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I work with a lot of students who attend competitive private schools and are looking to gain an edge in an extremely competitive environment. I work most often with students looking to make competitive scores on their standardized tests (ISEE, SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT). I also work with students in academic subjects. I find there's a unique experience to be had with each and every client. I also specialize in working with students with ADD/ADHD or with organizational problems. I am able to help these students break down mental barriers they've put up and achieve more than they ever thought possible.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
The easiest way is with specific questions. Try asking what some of the strategies are that the tutor uses, or ask if they have any specific stories. This is the easiest way to gauge a good tutor. Just because a tutor went to a good school or has gotten a great test score doesn't necessarily mean he's a good teacher. That's why a specific story will give you the info that sets one tutor apart from another.
